    The questioning of Mr. Pinkinton shows a lot of intelligence. Intelligence is about the why, not about what we know right now. He's not a monkey, he's questioning and reliable.

    This guy is an absolute genius! He has it all figured out. Why go way back in time when you can enjoy a wonderful holiday again. If you go way back you could be at war or in a famine or pandemic. Makes perfect sense. Why spend the energy on things you cannot know or change. He os keeping it real and only expending energy on having a good time.

Ricky set Pinkerton up for a bogus kidnapping ( on their travel show ). Ricky was so funny, it was his shtick! Scared the bajesus out of him. If it makes you feel better, I think he’s still apologizing for that.

    We can never ravel back in time, but we can travel forward. EG, the Andromeda galaxy is 2.5 million light years away. If we could travel at 99.99999999% the speed of light, it would take 100 years to get there and back, but 5 million years will have passed on Earth. {:o:O:}

    @@bombercountyblues It's not my maths, it's from Brian Cox. 100 years will pass for us on the ship, 5 million years will pass on Earth. 5 years to travel 2.5 million light years, my foot! And only 36 years will pass on Earth? 🤣 {:o:O:}

  • @bombercountyblues

    @@ansfridaeyowulfsdottir8095 I mean 36 earth years to every 5 travelling years. And 5 years at 99.9% light speed is obviously just short of 5 light years, not 2.5 million. 1 year at light speed is the very definition of "light year'

  • @ansfridaeyowulfsdottir8095

    @ansfridaeyowulfsdottir8095

    @@bombercountyblues It's has to be specifically 99.99999999% the speed of light, not 99.9%. Eight 9s after the decimal point. And the Andromeda galaxy is 2.537 million light years away, not 5 light years. Not only are your figures incorrect, I don't think you read the OP correctly! If you travelled at only 99.9% the speed of light for 5 years, you'd barely get to Proxima Centauri, never mind Andromeda. Now, the equations also affect space and distance, not only time, so it's not as straightforward as a simple conversion. But I think Brian Cox is 507,400 times closer than you are. Even if we take your figures that 5 years travelling at 99.9% the speed of light equals 36 years on Earth (it doesn't), it doesn't work out. Those extra seven decimal places make a big difference. {:o:O:}

I Believe in a Higher Power. Does that make me dense? I know I don't go through life worrying about b.s... Be a cynic if it makes you happy.
