Medical Marijuana For Neuropathy Pain: Marijuana for Beginners | Discover Marijuana

In today's video Tim and Blake talk about how medical marijuana effect can be used to help with neuropathy, including neuropathic pain. One of the benefits of using CBD, THC and CBG for neuropathic pain is that you can often treat the pain without causing further issues like some medications do.
Pain is one of the most common ailments medical marijuana is used for. Neuropathic pain is a special case and today Tim, Blake and Josh talk about how adding CBD and CBG to your medical cannabis regime might be beneficial.
What questions do you have about medical marijuana for neuropathic pain?
Tim Pickett, a Utah QMP and founder of utahmarijuana.org, meets with patients daily to recommend medical cannabis. Having a certain CBD dosage on hand as you ease into this treatment is highly recommended, especially if you are unfamiliar or made uncomfortable by the euphoric head high that comes with cannabis. CBD will help to tap that feeling down a bit.
Your other host, Blake Smith, CSO of zionmedicinal.com, a Utah CBD and cannabis company, has studied cannabis and the endocannabinoid system for years, and it shows. While Tim takes over how to use CBD, THC, and loads of other cannabinoids to help different ailments, Blake will explain WHY CBD works for Parkinson’s, pain, seizures, etc. for a full spectrum view of your treatment. We believe this will help patients take control of their own healthcare - something that hasn’t been possible in many other areas.
We are so excited to welcome a very special guest - Josh Fitzgerald - to Discover Marijuana season 2! Josh is Pharmacist in Charge at Deseret Wellness’ Provo location. He’ll be joining Tim & Blake this season to give a fresh perspective on Medical Cannabis in the Utah space and beyond.

I'm just in the process of getting my card in Australia, and I'm so freaking grateful to this channel for the concise, detailed and accessible information. Putting it bluntly, getting my first prescription from the doctor over here was very much like my Very Uptight Christian Mother giving me my first pack of tampons as a teen. No explanation, no instructions, no demystifying... just a brown paper bag full of esoteric "stuff" and a decree not to "enjoy it". If I didn't have access to information in this format, I'd have NO IDEA what I'm doing. When you're talking about pain that is constant, with mind shatteringly intense spikes (I have HEDS, chronic daily migraine, fibromyalgia, POTS, and gastroparesis - and PTSD/insomnia/anxiety that goes along with the gaslighting and trauma of being ignored by doctors for decades) starting a new treatment plan with no detailed instructions is asking for trouble. Thank you for being informative, candid and accessible.

I've started using a muscle freeze topical and a tincture. I've been using the muscle freeze for about a month and it really brings relief. The tincure, I just started so can't say too much yet, but it may be reducing the heal pain I've been experiencing. That has decreased since I started the 1:1 tincure. I also vape whole flower and eat the baked buds after vaping. Pain relief is everything though. If you have less pain, you can be more active which can help make those next steps to better health. I lost nearly 100lbs after I started mmj and reduced my a1c from 11.6 down to 5.5 . Small changes can lead to better health.

I have carpal tunnel, and I've found that using a topical cream on my hands when I flare up has been the most effective method of treatment for myself. Not only does it treat my specific pain points quickly, I don't deal with a lot of the other side effects of smoking/vaping/eating a gummy and I can stay more productive and focused on whatever task is at hand, pun slightly intended. I really appreciate these videos! Keep up the great work guys.

I'm on opioids which are so full of garbage fillers the pain releif is very short so i end up short at the end of the month. I have nerve damaydo to compression and strech during surgery. But this is my concern i had my lung collapse in one surgery so don't want to vape. Do these strains cone in tincture or gummies also i just found out that they are putting FUMIC ACID which causes cancer in some brands.

Hello. I'm beginning to have neuropathy symptoms in my feet and hands. I attribute it to the PMR and GCA I suffer from. Both of those cause inflammation of joints and muscles. I get an infusion of Actemra once a month but still have joint pain and now the neuropathy pain. I have not discussed this with my doctor yet and would like to start taking CBD products. Can you recommend something? Thank you. I am 75 tears old.

High-CBD varieties work particularly well for neuropathic pain, while high-THC varieties may be better for general distraction from conventional pain or sleep support. Cannabis strains that produce small amounts of CBD, such as Skunk varieties, may also increase the medicine's analgesic effect. Also look out for the Myrcene, a terpene in some cannabis that has known analgesic and sedating properties.

I'm also type-2 diabetic with very bad neuropathy in my feet, I tried taking gabapentin before but it never seemed to do much of anything for me. The second I hit my bong though the pain just meltssssss away. I can still make it during a work day without crazy pain, to be honest it seems to hurt more at night anyways, so I just smoke anything that's indica which is heavier body high than a brainy head high that sativa brings. Plus weed makes everything better in life lol, movies, food, sex, sleeping, all of it way better.

There is misinformation in this video, about the efficacy of THC. THC is needed in dealing with pain. Learned this at the Cannabis Science Convention, where I met Fran Drescher and a man who had a double root canal, using no anesthesia, and only THC inhaled. So I stopped listening to this video, and question it's avoidance of THC, and the claims for other cannabinoids.
