Chemo Induced Neuropathy Recovery
______________________________________
Cancer is one of the scariest health diagnoses a person can receive, and more and more people are undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
A condition known as Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral neuropathy or (CIPN) is a common and debilitating problem affecting as many as 60-90 percent of ALL chemotherapy patients.
Today, I’ll help shed some light on this terrifying situation and what you can do about it.
In part one of this video, I’ll educate you on which types of chemotherapeutic agents cause the highest rate of peripheral neuropathy.
In part two, I’ll show you how you can prevent getting CIPN and in
Part three, I’ll outline how to combat CIPN if you already have it.

Clearly a cancer patient needs (1) an advocate and (2) wisdom to know when a second expert opinion may be needed. I was blessed to have a great oncology surgeon and now a great follow up oncologist! My son did extensive due diligence research to find these well trained and highly recommended specialists for which I am forever grateful ❤

My last treatment was December 2022. The neuropathy in my right hand is almost completely gone. The left is getting there. My feet have a ways to go but are slightly better. I hope it goes away completely. I have chosen no medication for it...the side effects for those were not appealing. Glad yours is gone!! 😊 (I was on oxaliplatin.)

I had chemo and periferal neuropathy. I took nutritional yeast after I stopped the chemo drugs and it is gone now . It took about 6 to 8 months to get rid of . We need a better medical system than this toxic sick care system !

I’m a fighter. I’m very curious because I’ve read in some medical studies that the hormonals, like tamoxifen, leave a permanent effect. I got some good ideas to try.

I have spent all morning in the library of a premier cancer center trying to find info on what is depleted when using 5 F.U. and oxiliplatin. The pubmed papers are medically dense in their verbiage and I haven't found any references in this center's database (I probably don't have the correct search terms). Your video has been the most illustrative I've found so far. I would think that the original papers on the drugs would show the metabolic pathways and give information on how much of each nutrient/mineral/hormone/vitamin is used to process it. Thanks for the info, my daughter appreciates it.

I had breast cancer & was on tamoxifen. I was repeatedly told “you’re lucky at least you’re not on chemo.” I was in a 5 yr brain fog that has never cleared up. I understand now that tamoxifen cognitive effects are permanent. Now 17 yrs later I’m being treated for balance, vertigo, migraines, vasoconstriction in my toes, IBS with dual incontinence, & more. Although tamoxifen is a “hormonal”, but does this drug have similar effects? Oh yes, I was also nauseous for 5 years, lost 40 lbs (got scrawny), became malnourished & got serious osteoporosis.

I so enjoy your videos I am diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy woke up one morning with neuropathy in both lower extremities. I don’t have cancer I have chronic kidney disease and IGG4RD treated with infusions of Rituximab Rituximab is an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody and is also used in cancer patients. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife also have my DNP. I started getting the neuropathy in hands now my diagnosis is peripheral neuropathy. I am not diabetic but had to stop working due to the PN and worsening kidney function. I would love to know if these supplements would be something that might help me. Please advise blessings to you for helping your mom and many others

Dear Doctors, Just ordered my Supplements from Amazon, I've been living with Peripheral Neoropathy for 29 years now, I have had 4 Surgeries for this disease + had a Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted the battery lasted for 9 years but needs a new battery to be implanted, Has to be done in a Hospital, I'm trying to hold off on another surgery, The Stimulator only helped my legs and feet, it couldn't reach the lower back or neak areas or into my hands, Thank you for this information online will let you know how the Supplements work for me, God bless

Keyboards have a tiny tab on letters 'F' and 'J' which help you locate your fingers on the home keys. Since I have difficulty sensing those tabs now, it's harder to type because, without looking, I'm not certain where I've placed my fingers until I notice I'm writing gibberish.

Yes, but- for me the special booties felt like frostbite and I couldn’t tolerate them for very long and kicked them off before chemo was finished. Now, 2yrs later, I sleep with socks as my toes are cold and more recently the balls of both feet feel numb. I have never et had pain or tingling however- just the cold toes and ball of the feet numbness. My oncologist prescribed an rx- generic Cymbalta which I may start after decreasing another same molecular antidepressant! 🤞🏼🙏 😊 Overall a small price to pay as my TNBC was caught early before any spread to the lymph nodes! 🥳

I didn't notice this while commenting on the other video your did recently with the benefits of seeds. And asked you for advice. Lol i guess it's in this video God bless you and thank you, the Olive oil definitely helped smooth things as much as they could, which is what the oncologist tells me i actually do very well compared to others especially when it comes to "chemo brain". But it still bothers me that I'm praying once i do my pet scan this month i pray no more lymphoma or i don't know if i could handle another treatment due to my mental sharpness being very off and I'm 30 years old and was sharp as a tack before having it. And i was positive the entire 7months of chemo, 1 month so far of no chemo and i feel better and better do to the olive oil, flax seed oil, and fish oil and a few other natural things but number one to help is the olive oil
