What Is Microdosing in Medical Marijuana? | Discover Marijuana
Today on Discover Marijuana, we answer the questions "What is cannabis microdosing?" and "How do I microdose my medical marijuana?"
Microdosing cannabis has several benefits, including reducing side effects. One of the questions we get asked most often is, "How do I treat my condition without getting high?" The answer is to microdose your medical marijuana. By microdosing, you take enough to get the desired effects, but not so much that you get adverse effects.
Do you microdose your cannabis? Let us know in the comments below!
We know that medical cannabis is new to most of us and that many of us have questions. Even though CBD has been widely accepted across the country, many are still left wondering about it. Discover Marijuana is all about getting you the information you need to dispel the myths and allow you to know the options you have when looking into plant-based medicine.
Tim Pickett, a Utah QMP and founder of utahmarijuana.org, meets with patients daily to recommend medical cannabis. Having a certain CBD dosage on hand as you ease into this treatment is highly recommended, especially if you are unfamiliar or made uncomfortable by the euphoric head high that comes with cannabis. CBD will help to tap that feeling down a bit.
Your other host, Blake Smith, CSO of zionmedicinal.com, a Utah CBD and cannabis company, has studied cannabis and the endocannabinoid system for years, and it shows. While Tim takes over how to use CBD, THC, and loads of other cannabinoids to help different ailments, Blake will explain WHY CBD works for Parkinson’s, pain, seizures, etc. for a full spectrum view of your treatment. We believe this will help patients take control of their own healthcare - something that hasn’t been possible in many other areas.

Getting too blasted is not the way. Micro-dosing is the way.
It would be nice to get the pain killing effects without the mania honestly.
I find the X MAX V3 PRO Vaporizer the absolute best for micro dozing as it only heats the air not the chamber. I use dozing capsules and get at least 5 or 6 goes out of 1 dozing capsule. Totally of the tramadol 400mg per day that i was on for the last 6 years and it has totally changed my life.
I can feel effects 2mg easily. Not really high but can feel something

I need to try that . . . or even 1mg. I do edibles and lazily just break off a 5mg piece. Probably would be good enough with half of that . . .

hey there! I've recently started medicinal here, and slowly learning with dosing. With flower, I'm using the mighty medic with dosing capsules. How many inhalations would roughly equal 0.10 mg?
I micro dose delta 8 because I want to get high but I want more like a super mild high. It almost feels like opiates. I’ll feel calm / relaxed, I feel tired at the end of the day and I’ll even sometimes feel this amazing warm and cozy feeling in my ribs like I’m laying on a bed made of cotton balls. I found that when I micro dose I can work my way up to the perfect mild cozy high. Because I used to hate weed with a passion. Didn’t like the taste, didn’t like the smell and when I smoked a normal amount, I found it hard to function and get stuff done and my mind would think wayyyyyy too deep into every thought. I hate that kind of high. I want something super small just enough to be there with me to help me get through my day. I don’t ever drive or leave the house because I have super bad anxiety and the days start to get really depressing and feel endless so this is how I’ve been getting through it.

All of this talk suggest only one symptom, what about multiple sclerosis patients for instance or cancer patients that have a myriad of symptoms each day that vary drastically throughout the day? Are there microdosing Solutions for people with multiple symptoms that come and go and very in intensity?
@MetalGeek464

I would consider inhalation. Use layers. You have your ongoing daily dose using an edible which are longer lasting and then use a vape pen or flower vape for those spikes where you need instant symptom mitigation.

But if someone find the Perfect Dose, does it build a Tolerance after some Time? Then you have to adjust the Perfect Dose?

I am no expert but based on my experience and watching other videos, it definitely does. When you have to increase the dose greatly, it is also a good idea to give your body a break and then get back to the dose.

Excellent info, thank you for stepping up for patients! Would you be able to comment about Utah's moratorium on contaminant testing from April 2021 to August 2021 in light of the ban on out-of-state products beginning July 1st? I've seen the COAs and they are no longer testing for Staph, aspergillus, E. coli, salmonella, heavy metals, pesticide, mycotoxin and residual solvents! Meanwhile, the companies are saving around $800 per batch by not testing. And yes, I kept a copy of the COAs if you wanna see for yourself. We need to either reinstate contaminant testing or extend the out-of-state deadline! People would never put up with this with regular medicine or food.

We probably should be asking these questions about regular medicine and food. also if we did then maybe people wouldn't be so hard on cannabis. When you put the same scrutiny on Mom and Dad's medications or Grandma's medications and read the most negative part of the safety data sheets, they would probably rightfully be more scared of their medicines than they are of cannabis.
Would have loved less babble and an actual imagery of how much a "microdose" means. Without expensive electronic fine scales meant for medicinal purposes, you can't tell how many milligrams the little piece that you prepared, accounts to. If you instead showed how many milligrams a peppercorn sized piece is, for example, you would have helped people more than with this babble that people either already know, can read up on in 60 seconds, or aren't interested in.
