Nice to finally hear an adult in the room.

So far, he's been doing a great job. Probably one of the best mayors in the country.

This was the best interview of a politician that really believes in what he does and does not seem to be political. It seems he’s focused on the people not their political affiliation. If all of our politicians could do that.

more than that, he can string together coherent sentences with some degree of knowledge of what he is talking about. Unlike those in CA, NYC, or other such shitholes.

Too bad more cities don’t have a mayor like this.

The Mayor is doing more than helping America. He's helping Central America, the Caribbean. When they see how successful his policies are, they will want to copy them, leading to more prosperity for people south of the border. That's a good thing, for everyone.

However, the reason the media attacked him is because the DEMs Do Not want prosperity for the citizens , but rather need them dependent on the government.

This is a great American leader. You need many, many more like him.

It's like they saw that he had his own mind, finding solutions outside their "authentic" narratives, and they collectively screamed, "Brains!!!"

They mad that you want people to think for themselves.

As Thomas Sowell says, there are no solutions only trade offs.

This dude would be a serious contender for President one day.

As a northern Floridian gotta say I love this guy. Think we're looking at gubernatorial and/or U.S. Senate material here...who knows after that?

I'm thinking following DeSantis when his term is up ... from a fellow northern Floridian.

Do not believe a word he says. He is one of the biggest RINOs around. I used to live in Miami and his policies are very Democrat based. He is not conservative and likes big government. He is like a Hispanic Mitt Romney. He has not worked well with DeSantis. DeSantis deserves the credit for what Florida has done over the last few years, not this guy.

We need more strong mayors like him and more strong men like this mayor. God bless him!

What are "OG" Floridians? Honestly, I have no idea.

California loves band aids... and it's always sold on helping the working man. The problem is that the downstream impact is the opposite. Rent control? Supply issues and disincentives, creating skyrocketing rent costs for newer tenants. Higher minimum wage and benefits for unskilled labor? Fewer jobs, fewer working hours, and higher prices for all. It's no wonder that the rich get richer and richer in California. Liberal policies always help the billionaire class the most... it creates barriers for other people to climb the ladder, and entrenches the billionaire class in power.

build MORE DENSITY along transit routes, legalize/decriminalize barriers to housing

I'd like to hear why he doesn't like rail/bus rapid transit. Just adding another lane for cars, underground lane still counts, doesn't solve the issue. It's been tried over and over and has yet to succeed.

I just don't know . Gas is more expensive in Florida. Rent is more expensive in Florida. Nurse shortages because the pay is lower than any other state. So I just don't see what he is saying. I'm sorry

Supply and Demand. Blue cities and States across the country have encouraged ppl to move to Red cities and States. Higher demand means increased price.

Yet his policies seem to be working for the city. Meanwhile FJB says he's the 'great uniter" and is doing little but grift the public. .

See and Now that I'm (OR WAS) old enough to get Social Security that was the Government Promise to Every Working American Citizen for all my life; the government ups the age for a 3rd time since I seen. However now with no full medical coverage and bad health all my life shortens like the building with controlled rent!
