I am a RN and worked one year at an addiction and mental health rehab. We had dorms for both men and women. We’ve had trans women placed in the women dorm and they routinely were having intercourse with the women. These are vulnerable women with both addiction and mental health issues, many with history of sexual assault. I could no longer work there it was sickening and our society has gone mental.

We are in the USA and Rights are a "given + protected" Law. Transgender first requires being understood in its definition, and the age of the individual at time of addressing the sex medically. There are a vast number of variables, and yet 1 that each individual in this country share, "All are created Equal..." relative to Freedom and Rights. That means, regardless of one's Opinions or Perspective, each of us have our Constitutional Rights. The greater gaps in this subject has to do with: 1) understanding the definitions with Clarity. 2) Empathy, the ability to place yourself in another's shoes and imagine the circumstances/feelings.

Congratulations on your OUTSTANDING achievements! I was a female athlete in all of my school years, Jr. College and University level. I know the sacrifices, hard work, and yes, pain! It sickens me to the core to see biological men take away a Female Athlete's achievements. We live in a crazy world; it IS incredibly heartbreaking, demoralizing and insane. Yet, that IS exactly what the DemonicRATS want for America's Citizens (Yes, this IS a political issue). Vote Trump in Nov. 2024, so that we can put an end to the stark raving madness. 🇺🇸 ❤

I work as a truck driver and a factory worker. Women in these jobs generally aren't unreasonable and find several ways to be extremely valuable workers. They don't even try to be the strongest worker. They know what we all observe. Even as an old man 66 years old. I can easily lift more than a young women. I can't even lift anywhere as much as a young man.

I hate that he calls that male swimmer a she.

How do we elect Mr. Kennedy for president. Everytime he speaks I am impressed with his intelligence and humor

Seriously, thank you. International Olympic Committee started allowing trans athletes to compete 20 years ago, and slowly but surely every country (not just the US) is allowing trans kids to play sports. All about the gold.

I can’t imagine this abuse thank you John Kennedy for speaking out!

As a nationally competitive gi jiu jitsu player, I can attest without equivocation that men out play women in combat sports by a full belt level and at least 3-4 weight classes.

Imagine if politicians weren't all corrupt

Senator Kennedy is not corrupt. There are many Truthful people in politics/govt and in all walks of life, of both genders and all ages. It does seem that currently the loudest voices are coming from those who do not believe in Rule of law nor our constitution; those who are using their position to bankrupt constituents and enrich themselves; those who follow the crowd, rather than seek the truth.

Good question ! If men feel they would rather compete with woman then she and her friends should compete with other men who believe themselves woman . That would save the woman's team from enduring sever injury. problem solved

Chilling when the former coach at Oberlin said in her opening statement something like she wouldn't have thought in a million years that at 56 she would be fighting for womens and girls rights achieved 51 years ago. She was referring to Title IX, but she may have just as easily been referring to Roe v Wade.

I have grown in admiration for Sen Kennedy & Louisiana after hearing him speak.

Senator Kennedy believes when the national anthem is played you need to get off your ass and stand up. He believes America was founded by geniuses but is being run by idiots. @michelleericketts85, Yes at the local Mental Institution....my grand-daughter admitted that she (they/them) suffers from autism.... taking testosterone, binding breasts, face metal, nose ring.....I love her, but I will not share in her dilusion.....she needs help.....I would be happy to pay.....I'm 74.....not about to have my language be modified by ANYONE....I refer to her as my son's second offspring....

Sorry to say that he may point out that there are just male and female genders, with out any real medical or biological studies of the changes in chromosomes of babies being born, it is no longer cut and dried. There seems to be problem with the male chromosome Y. Other countries are aware of it and are more advanced than us, 1in 1,000 babies are being being born with reproduction organs that do not fit their birth gender. These babies are found to be INTERSEX, and many do not know til puberty or death. Major hospitals have done the studies and been ignored in this country. Look it up!

@@lindaexley7244 Nobody is talking about intersex here. Intersex is about 0.018% of the population. There are also around 30 different intersex conditions. From that small percentage, the majority have defined XX and XY chromosomes, meaning they are either male or female with traits from the other sex. Cases of "true hermaphroditism", where a person has both ovarian and testicular tissue account for around 500 people in the world. So although it's good to bring awareness to rare conditions, it's not a cause to change the whole political order of a country, to the detriment of 50% of the population.

This is where we are at in the US. We learned this stuff before first grade when we were children.

It blows my mind that this needed to be explained to other adults.

The most thorough, factually-based, eloquently delivered speech I have heard on this subject. Anyone in that chamber who didn't realize the truth of his words doesn't have two brain cells to rub together. Thank you, Senator Kennedy, for standing by the biological women everywhere. God bless you!

It takes nothing away from Sen. Kennedy to acknowledge that his staffer assigned to this issue put together an impressive summary.
