MCS - People with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity

Forgotten people are speaking out: People with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS)
A presentation of a support group for MCS patients from GERMANY (based on the situation of affected people in Germany).
Part 1 / Focus: MCS, people affected (original sound), comorbidities, support options and awareness day.
Here you can find more information:
May 12 is once again International Day for, among other things, the chronic multisystem disease MCS. Over the decades, international studies and knowledge have progressed. But the situation of MCS sufferers remains critical. In fact, there is a lack of everything:
competent physicians in environmental medicine,
patient safety, contact persons, clinic guidelines, health insurance payments, compatible living space.....and acceptance. This is made more difficult because it is an invisible disability and a mostly unknown syndrome. Yet a blanket of silence seems to cover this group of patients. Or when did you last hold an informative (specialist) article on MCS in your hands? Yet information would be so important. Early recognition of MCS and the introduction of appropriate measures could help to preserve working capacity and quality of life. In the context of this presentation, those affected therefore provide some information on MCS, speak up for themselves and report on their experiences. The (involuntary!) doctor's odysseys also become clear. But also exemplary suggestions for the support of MCS sufferers at the workplace, by decision makers or in personal contact are shown. Please help to support this (growing!) group of patients. In the hope of a better and healthier life for all of us.
In the separate Part 2 of this presentation, the following topics are available to you as a supplement:
Embedded in short stories (real cases) the characteristic features of MCS are presented. In addition to the MCS diagnostic criteria, the fragrance issue is also outlined. And this under the perspectives of MCS, health and environmental protection.
