@@yanniblumstein1 The Turbo is nearly half the price of the McLaren and only 0.1 seconds slower over the quarter mile, and unlike the McLaren it is still a luxurious and comfortable daily driver. The Turbo is so much better overall in so many ways, and is only slightly slower than the one-trick-pony 765.

I'm impressed how the 765LT has no traction issues whatsoever when flooring it. I think they have nailed it and not many seriously powerful cars can match that.

Simply amazing how the 911 Turbo S launches like an electric vehicle. It launched dead even with the Taycan but still has the power to pull away. Obviously the 765 is a monster, but the 911 Turbo S is something special for where it sits.

The only i hate about 911 is the design and front face look like 🐸 every year with same design

It just shows how great this gen of 911 is. In many of these videos they are up against cars which are much more expensive and with much more power. They still hold their own, amazing cars

Didnt really hold its own in the second roll race did it? The 911 has a ton of traction off the line. In terms of performance it isnt anything to write home about in terms of today’s supercars.

on a prepped track, the 765 LT has run low 9's stock, so i guess 10 flat isn't that bad considering the surface your on. you mentioned the Nevera , on Dragtimes, it ran mid 8's.at over 170mph, if my memory is correct. love your channel and you guys rock.

Don't forget that this race was in cold weather in warm weather on street surface they managed to hit 9.8 sec 1/4 mile on stock 765LT.That time is equavalent to 900 hp Hypercars.And don't forget it's more than half a million pounds cheaper.It is an awesome supercar

I'd still have the 911. There's a bit of a difference in the daily driveability of these cars.

What i would like to know is what speed they were doing when the mclaren caught the porsche. The porsche was .2 of a second slower over the standing quarter with 100bhp less, 300kg heavier and £125k cheaper and stops quicker. What a feat of enginerring porsche.

Even more insane when you realize that the HP difference is actually a lot more. The Porsche makes 650 Hp at the crank whereas the MClaren makes 765 Hp at the Wheels...

I would still have the porsche. Quicker off the line. Better grip in the wet. Better value. Mclaren is a track car whereas the porsche is more of an everyday car.

We not talking financial backing etc. Cars are cars at the end of the day. Porsche has innovated and was cutting edge even from its origins, only when vw owned.

Matt please add in you next videos the exit speed of the cars at the finish line of the 1/4 mile and also please add the 100-200km/h timings. It will be nice to have thanks.

the Porsche's victory is actually the boost that it gets immediately when the race starts. No turbo lag. The car with its Dynamic Boost is truly an engineering marvel

765LT *destroy* the 992 Turbo S all day. Especially in the rolling race, the Turbo S looked like a snail to the 765LT. Even more impressive when it's RWD vs AWD. *I love Porsche,* one of my *favorite* brand but 911 fanboys are *toxic* and *salty* a lot of times.

@@honda900000 the drag times channels have done several drag races with his 720s, against several supercars and tuned porches and gtr. He even has a compilation video of his races. the only 2 cars that defeated his 720S was a 1000hp tuned gtr and a sf90 or something. Amd before you cry that it is tuned or something, his 720S is totally stock and he has cleared it to his audience in one of his videos too. Look man no hate to porche, those are some engineering masterpieces but doesnt mean it cant be defeated by anything.

@@cafiveohsrockbandremix9254 You've to see that the difference between the two cars is 0.2s from a standstill for the first 1/4 mile and the gap gets bigger and bigger after that. Also the 10s 1/4mile time is the best time for a RWD stock car on this channel. So, double the price of the turbo s has its meaning, compared to a similarly price car, something like a GT2 RS, the 765LT is the incredibly quick in a straight line.

What a great Drag Race! 👌🏼 Would be nice to bring up the tuned 800hp Turbo S against the 765 LT and see what happens 😄

I wish you guys did cornering/skid pad tests.

In my PCA chapter we have a fellow with a GT3 and a McLaren (don’t know the model) and he says the McLaren is in the shop more than on the road. And after these next round of repairs have been completed he’s selling it.

Maclaren vs Porche GT 2 RS Will be a nice race for this 2 since they all pull at Track

Crazy that the 911 can hold its own against an utter speed weapon like the 765 and still carry the shopping and be as good a daily as anything is unbelievable

@@CaptJofaz for an everyday “daily” car I’d call it impressive that it’s even in the ball park with something like the 765LT. If you wanted to go like for like you’d need a GT2 v the 765 but your not driving either on a daily basis

@@Quattro_Joe I think holding its own is a bit of an exaggeration, even though the 992 TS is no doubt quick in a 1/4mile, the 765LT absolutely dropped it, considering it's *RWD* and this *isn't a dragstrip* and then there's a small issue of traction for the 765LT due to the two factors when starting a race from a standstill. It's quite apparent that 0.2s isn't much of a difference, but considering the traction issue then the time difference of 0.2s in the 1/4mile which keeps on getting bigger and bigger after the 1/4mile actually shows the difference between the two cars, I have to say that the McLaren won clean and the Porsche is just a quick car but not fast.

@@CaptJofaz it does hold its own tho. It has 4 seats, has 120 less hp, weighs 300kg more and costs £130,000 less.

I have dreams about both of these cars, the astonishingly fast daily and the weekend track monster!

Guy’s please use the over boost button in turbo’s in the centre of the sport mode button on the steering wheel it puts the car for 10seconds into over-boost

765LT vs Turbo S stage 1-2 would be more fun!

I will still much rather have the 911 turbo s. Still a beast, much better value, it has better reliability and practicality , much lower maintance and a car thats usable every day.

The way the McLaren pulls in the middle and final third of the run is impressive. That being said, I'd still have the Porsche. Only minimally slower, but it would be much easier to live with, hold its value so much better and won't break down every two seconds like McLarens tend to do.

The typical fanboy excuse, who buys these cars don’t care about which is easy to live with, they will not be driving these cars everyday they have other cars to do that. The porsche lost badly and the second rolling race show what will happen in the real world if these cars meet.

I feel you get so much for your money with Porsche. That 911 Turbo S to me is the perfect sports car. It will provide you all the thrills of any top of the line sport car typically for a much lesser price. I have not loved another Porsche as much as I like this 992 since the 997.

The headstart on the porshe was Good Good one

720S still monsters the 911 Turbo S... 1/4 mile 911 is more consistent, but I've seen 9.8 out of 720S', but in gear or beyond the 1/4m the 720S absolutely schools the 911 TS... McLaren's aren't great off the line, but once in motion I'd not put anything ahead of it accept a Rimac.

They should definitely race the Tuned Version of the Turbo S against the LT that would be one to watch!!

Man that beetle really took a shellacking. It’s very rare to see that.
