it sounds like a vacuum cleaner, looks like every other porsche model and is very boring interior wise. Sure the statistics are pretty good but sitting in a Ferrari or Lamborghini is much better than a Porsche imo experience wise.

I just looked it up on the website, (if you take out the remote control toy car thats no 1) The Rimac Nevarro is ranked no.1 with 8.6secs The 2021 Ferrari SF90 Stradale ranked 11th with 9.6seconds. Everything above the ferrari other than the Rimac and the redbull pro gp bike and f1 car are tuned cars.

they have been doing drag races for over a year with the turbo s and it's still manages to do 10.1s every time insanely impressive

For me it is impressive that Porsche with LESS power and NO electrical engines helpers still put up a good fight. This is not an apples with apples comparison. Not fair. You should only compare gas engine models only. Porsche 911 TURBO is faster than any Ferrari, except SF90 that HAS electric engines help. To be fair, you must compare Ferrari SF90 with a Porsche 911 Turbos that has electric engines and similar power. Maybe the next generation of Porsche 911 will have such version. Till then, this comparison is not a fair comparison at all.

That SF90 is glorious. The looks, the sound, the speed. Still, gotta show some love for the 911 too.

The weight you quote for the SF90 is that of the Assetto Fiorano version, with CF wheels. That there is the standard version and it even have the heaviest cast wheels on it.

You can see both launch simultaneously for the first few seconds which is just insane..it means they are both at the very edge of tyre grip and there is not much difference there...and the ferrari power comes in and takes the lead. Amazing stuff - some of the best launch control systems right here :D !

The electromotors of the ferrari covers the shifts, you can see the porsche dropping back during shifts, pdk and all.

I’d love to see a Carwow leaderboard and which cars times are up there after all these years of drag races! Turbo S is still the king for me!

So you didn't see the video? Porche did 10.1 Sec. I have seen all the Porsche 992 Turbo S video on this channel. 10.1s is the fastest by that car (happy to see that German guy did that again, previously it was done by Matt itself) and the fastest car on this channel before this drag race.

When you drag race the 992 911 Turbo S, you should keep the Turbo S in Sport Mode (not Sport+) and hit the Sport Response button on the steering wheel before letting the brake go in the launch control sequence. This circumvents deployment of the front spoiler and rear wing yet provides the same boost of power from Sport+ mode. The drag from the front and rear spoilers slow the car down dramatically (by over half a second 0-60 in some tests).

Well that's true but Ferrari sf90 and McLaren 765lt among other very few cars offer the performance of a hypercars (until 200) at a fraction of the price. Because remember this is not early to mid 2000 where hypercars costs 1 million, nowadays hypercar cost anywhere from 2 to 4 million. So it's really good.

As far as I know, the 6.3 badge was a heritage thing referring to the „Rote Sau“. We usually round up above .5

This race made the SF90 recover its self-esteem after what the Nevera did to it.

The SF90 is only a little over 2 years old, but we can already say that it has entered the legend of the best road-legal cars of all time. Its price is not so crazy when you see those of Bugatti or Koeningsegg, where it is on the butt level performance. With its space shuttle face, this car is truly fantastic. I still prefer the LaFerrari, but the latter is starting to show its age, design from 2013, especially on start-up performance.

SF90 was unveiled in mid 2019 and this video was published in late 2022, that's more than 3 years!

I think the 296 GTB would have been a better comparison to the Turbo S, especially as it is much closer in price to the Turbo S....

We would love to see this sf90 stock against a modified 911 turbo s with like 900hp or 1000hp. I think you guys already brought a modified 911 turbo s to the channel before 👍

Porsche need to do an SF90 rival with the forthcoming 911 e-Hybrid powertrain and the Turbo S’s 3.7 motor (911 Sport Classic more correctly). Then style it as a modern 959.

When a SF90 has another 350HP in it's back pocket, it'll make most cars/ Bikes look slow. Would be good to see a little fairer fight tbh. Manhart in Germany have a GT2RS with 900HP, or try a Techart 911Turbo S with over 800HP. Then we might see the real winner between more equal Super Cars.

I don't know if it is for the extra weight but Porches seem "pacific" and they give a lot of confidence, at least in the video games. When I try another car of its same category they aren't slower but they feel like it. Overall they feel a bit less fun but safer If in real life it's the same I'd always take a Porsche because they give me tranquility and I trust them

With 350HP more it is no wonder, the SF90 is fast. Give the Turbo equal power and the Horse will see Turbos backlights.

For half the cost of the Ferrari, that Porsche is still amazing.

The fact that the SF90 has 3 electric motors, 350hp more and is 100kg lighter than the 911, yet the Porsche manages to keep up with it from the start for the first 10m or so with no instant electric torque is just 🤯

The Ferrari is without a doubt a phenomenal car but it still impresses me how Porsche has managed to build such a perfectly engineered car that can perform so beautifully at a "bargain" compared to other cars. I wonder if Porsche will build a hybrid 911 Turbo S and how it will perform.

Can’t remember the last time I saw that Porsche beaten, and 10.1 secs is a good time for the Porsche. That Ferrari is nuts. Twice the price though. Hats off to Ferrari for that engineering. And Great video.

SF90 has less the 8kWh of battery. I supposee after the stuff I saw in the video the battery might be empty already. Can you repeat that with empty batteries on the SF90? I'm pretty sure it would have no chance against the Porsche. Side note about the Displacement figures in Germany. The Porsche has 3.7l because we round the same way as British do. You if you ask Daniel for the displacement because you are interested in the displacement the 3.7 he said is totally fine also in Germany terms (except that we use comma instead of point). But before the German vehicle tax was related to the CO2 output, the base for the tax was displacement of the engine. And for the tax you had to round to the next 0.1

The Turbo S is insane for what it cost, but for a test like this you guys have to get a Turbo S that has been tuned to similar power or better, have a Stock Turbo S and a modified one, that would be awesome!

Just saw Stradale vs Plaid vs Turbo S and times were 9.9, 9.7 and 10.3 for turbo s. Interesting, since both porsche and ferrari did the time faster by 0.2 sec.

You guys are the gods of proper and clean, well organized racing. Still super fun to watch. Well done
