This is deeply poetic.

I live for the contrast between Griffin and Justin. Griffin is like the comedy terminator, methodically clearing his way through bits with nearly robotic precision, while Justin can think the funnies, but can't force them out of his word hole without crumbling like a sand-castle under the fist of a tyrannical third-grader. They're both so good and so pure in completely different ways.

The way griff says "I need you to put the caps back on all your mini jars of acrylic paint so I can go take my second piss in an hour" always fucking gets me. It's fucking hilarious. It's the funniest thing I've literally ever heard. The cadence. The inflection. The delivery. It's nigh-on-Shakespearean how satisfyingly the sentence lands.

in preparation for any and every flight i ever have to take i do not consume liquids on that day, go to the bathroom as soon as i feel the slightest need to pee, and remain dehydrated and malnourished for any amount of hours i need to remain in flight. I quietly enjoy my 3-deep-in-the-window seat the whole ride, maybe take a nap. It's great.

This and Griffin's stories like this one are so incredibly relatable I love it. I'm epileptic, so I'm very neurotic, constantly thinking about my surroundings and every possible variable, all while trying to look like a normal person

This is why I prefer aisle seats: Minimal disruption. Also, so I can leave the plane as soon as possible.

To anyone who has similar anxiety, please know... no one is thinking about it a fraction as much as you are. There is so much obnoxious shit you could be doing on the plane, making someone get up and giving them the excuse to stretch their legs is... pretty low bar. I know this isn't going to cure anyone's anxiety, anxiety works on illogical fears, just try to keep it in mind.

Reminds me of how I use todo this at concerts for years and now I make sure I buy an isle seat haha

Nothing quite compares to a bunch of people trying to get a quick excretion in before they have to buckle up while you're in there shitting your actual guts out. I had a similar experience once. I had a flight from denver to like singapore or some shit in which i was separated from the rest of my party. I was also in between two people. As it turns out, these two girls were in fact flying together. So commenced the better part of 12 hours with them talking across me about god knows what. All of which was made more agonizing by my inability to relate to any female of remotely similar age at any level at that time in my life. AND DID IT OCCUR TO ME to see if one of us could switch? NO, because sometimes social anxiety is just that paralyzing.

I'd have just stayed in the bathroom and said that the food made me sick

I was on a transatlantic flight and the asian man who barely spoke English fell asleep on my headphones so I couldn’t get to them and then later sitting on my seatbelt. I had to pretend to have my seatbelt on as we landed which I’m pretty sure is some kind of air crime. Planes make us all very awkward and anxious in my experience....

Oh god, thats happened to me. We were still two hours out of Indianapolis and if I had waited any longer, my bladder would have quite literally exploded. So I had to wake up a woman who had to wait until 6am for her next flight and go rush down the aisle to empty my water balloon of a bladder and then rush back to wake her up AGAIN.
