Aliens, daemons, ghosts, angels, deities, otherworldly creatures and spirits of any kind-- The communication methods seem to be the same, essentially, for anyone you would try to contact. No matter what it is, the fundaments are described the same, even if the surrounding 'ritual' differs in exact detail. Crazy shit, innit? ...or is it? Don't know; don't especially care. Fun to think about sometimes, though. ...I'm just imagining, like, a high-tech, sci-fi setting with some space cadet (ha) using a sleek, plastic and LEDs, fuckin' Ouija Board to try to communicate with aliens. Huh. Space daemons... I wonder if that's the true backstory for DOOM 4.
