Use RE3 to create a playerbase for Resistance, and then provide paid DLC to make some money and they can even use that gauge the success of Resistance since it won't have traditional sales metrics.

MrDibara also an effective marketing strategy was that mysterious achievement for re2, most who finished and thought they were done with re2, they're gonna start it up again, look for Jill's letter(which will probably be in the stars office on her desk), probably ending up finishing the whole game and dying for more. I started up re2 two days before this announcement and finished Claire A the day before the announcement and I'm needing more, about to go do Leon a or Claire B

Tinfoil hat theory - The RE3 remake was decided on first, and Mr. X in the RE2 remake was intended as a way of getting people ready for Nemesis who's gon' give you the real D.

The reveal would've been much more hype if it wasn't for the leaks. Edit: I'm referring more to the fake out from REsistance to RE 3.

TO BE FAIR, months before Project Resistence was announced, there was a leak that got all of PR's gameplay correct. That leak also stated there would be a single player campaign with PR that would have a then unnamed character exploring Raccoon City solving puzzles and surviving in a SEMI, (Not full) open world style of gameplay.... You can disagree with me if you want, but the Screenshots, and what little gameplay we saw in this video fit with that leak, and considering the guy got everything right about PR well... I'm willing to bet RE3 was that campaign he saw.

I've had a thought about the moment we see Jill turn into a zombie and back to normal. In the novelisation of RE3, it's implied that Jill is still suffering from PTSD from the events of Resident Evil and she says "It gets worse every night" and complains about a headache, both of these throw away lines could be due to lack of sleep (also the headache line could be from being infected by Nemesis tho) and it wouldn't be the first time the Remakes has taken something from the SD Perry Novels. In the 'City of the Dead' AKA RE2, I think Claire mentions that both her parents died and Chris was the only person left from her family. Man Nemesis is going to cause people to actually have heart attacks if they thought Mr X was bad! Also, I think Brad's role in the game is going to be a little like Marvin's in RE 2 remake. They'll flesh him out a little bit before being killed off.

That mirror scene has to be Jill having some PTSD from the mansion incident. Also that is definitely Nemesis chasing her at the beginning, if you listen carefully after he bursts through the floor he says "STAAAARRSSS".

I love the time that they used in this trailer cause it could depicts at what time Leon and Claire were in this event: They got to Raccoon City (20:10 PM), Leon was with Ada and going through Gun Shop Kendo (21:03 PM), The time at 22:53 PM means that Claire was still in the Raccoon Police Station (I assume), Claire was with Sherry and getting out after Claire fought Birkin (00:36 AM), Leon probably went back to look for Claire in the Police Station I assume (01:54 AM), Claire went to look for Sherry (02:35 AM), I believe either Claire or Leon were at the Sewers at that time I assume (04:12 AM), I maybe wrong but who knows it's fun to speculate, Claire was already on her way to look for the cure for Sherry (04:57 AM), Leon arrived at the Laboratory to find the G Virus Sample (05:21 AM) and they got out from the exploding laboratory at 06:35 AM as the sun was rising. It's all speculation but I love that this idea popped into my head as I was watching this trailer again. The outbreak of Raccon City happened a day and 3 minutes after Jill was already running from Nemesis.

Max's reaction to the hi-rez nemesis photo is that of a child's.... and mind. I'm hyped!

yeah, i have been watching a few reactions and a lot of people miss that

if you listen really close when nemesis drops down a floor you can hear ''Starrs'' in a well creepy voice

The city is gonna be crazzzzy I just had watched your 8hr RE3 walk-through. April can't come sooner

Anyone notice that in the scene where the Nemesis crashes through the roof and Jill looks at him before running away, if you listen really carefully you can hear Nemesis whisper "S.T.A.R.S....".

@@runbaa9285 Which is why he has none. But, because you need teeth to pronounce "S.T.A.R.S.", they gave him horse teeth. Because why waste perfectly good horse teeth when you can use them to make your BOW's pronunciation better :P

I remember watching my brother play this game (along with 2) a lot when I was very young, now I’ll get the chance to play this game for the first time, like with 2, and fight nemesis (or run a lot lol) 😁👍

Imersiion yeah! That’s how it went in the original. After a Nemesis boss fight Jill gets infected and you switch to Carlos. Considering that in Remake 2 we switched to Ada when Leon got shot like in the original, it wouldn’t be crazy to think the same will happen here

Packaging Resistance with 3 was a good call - pretty sure it wouldn't have done too well on its own. And now we'd have more incentive to give it a try

Yep. I was expecting to see a _Max Reacts_ to the Resident Evil 3 Remake. Again, this was one of the worst kept secrets as it got leaked. Suffice to say, I am excited.

I feel like the opening cinematic is similar to what happens at the beginning of RE2 (with the truck driver and opening scene for Claire and Leon).

Also at 9:28 you can see Bar Jack from the og re3 where brad is getting bitten by a zombie. Hopefully we get more of the original areas from re3 in this remake guys.

I hear ya on that re2 was great but definitely I agree. Like the lab seemed to be over as quick as it started. Something they said could be worrying though, they said during the interview there near the end of the video that re3 was more action orientated than re2 and they've made the re3make with that in mind

The infected look in the mirror is a glimpse at a possible dream sequence from when she beats nemesis and has her stay in the church while playing carlos... The first person section is when you were to start re3 nemesis... If you remember, it starts with her jumping through a door in which we thought it was a fire... God I loved the Resident Evil series... Now I love it more

He was talking about a "weird infection mechanic" during the actual gameplay. In the Original we got to play as Carlos and cured Jill and then it was over. I think they will expand on that aspect a lot in the remake.

@@Thiago_Alves_Souza Funny enough, I've recently heard rumors about the makers of Skullgirls trying to approach Capcom with the idea to make a new Darkstalkers game or something. It could all be bullocks, but I hope not. That would be sick.

I'm just glad that it's third person and we can play with Jill's classic outfit. This is all I wanted. I also can't wait to see the reveal of the mercenaries mode since it originated in re3.

Rumors has it on it's early stages of production of project resistance, it was plan to be sold as a stand alone but later decided to squeeze it in with RE3 after reflecting back on the reception on selling stand alone multiplayer games as umbrellas corps.

SO I noticed at the base of Leon and Jill's statues theirs a Specfic patterning to the Raccon City Logo for the Stars members and... Jill and Leons are part of two 'DIFFERENT" areas of the Logo... makes me think their's other statues planned out to make the full circle... At the very least oens representing other playable members of Stars (Minus Leon) That take the other two corners up.

actually its at least 2 days before... Re2 begin a day after Jill fought at the clock tower, at night, probably while Carlos was looking for the antidote in the hospital because Jill woke up on October 1st PD... my wallet is in tears too...

I was preparing to make a live-action joke myself moments before Max did.

they are probably going to expand on the infected jill/playing as carlos/getting jill the antidote part in the game, hence the mirror part, and why we see jill so dead in the mirror with nemesis crouching by her side

Now we need a fitting song for Nemesis chasing you.

Now we wait for CODE: Veronica.
