@@blyat8832 I actually knew about him from Super Mario Crossover, a fan made game that featured multiple NES characters, including Simon, within the original game of Super Mario Bros. I didn't know much about him aside from that fan game until he was revealed for Ultimate, in which I have now played about 7 Castlevania games. Not a bad thing for a younger generation to know more about a classic franchise, especially with how many of them are in Super Smash Brothers.

Capcom really made that "no porn" rule because of this game, huh?

There's a game called Hunt: Showdown that I think really embodies what you're describing as an ideal RE Multiplayer game, and while technically it's a battle royale, hunt is very slow, survival horror-y and focuses on trying to kill a single boss on the map, which is a very RE mechanic I think would work well if capcom took inspiration and retooled some things.

The “Tall Woman” and her three daughters all appear to posses supernatural abilities that have actually been seen in bioweapons from previous games. The Tall Woman has been shown to extend her fingers into long sharp claws (Tyrants), and all her daughters can turn into swarms of insects (kinda like the Queen Leech and Mrs Baker)

@@Bio-Rex Dude you are RIGHT. Re4 is one of my favorite games. I beat it every year, sometimes twice. The ONLY thing they could do to 4 is remove the action commands, make it prettier, and add new enemy skins. The game is the building block for all modern 3rd person shooter and survival horror games. The level design stands up today, literally perfectly. If they did it like 2, I wouldn't be too mad... But... Why not remake Code Veronica? Change the camera angle like 2 remake and make it less corny. If there's ever a game that doesn't need remade, it's RE4. It'll divide people. Because the o.g. is perfect, and modern HD versions prove that. Even 2's level design for the police dpt. Was pretty accurate, but it added a whole new camera perspective. THE SAME THAT 4 PIONEERED. So what are they gonna do with 4? What IS there to do?

Exactly. I been thinking about it as well. Just use RE6 Mechanics, improve on the gameplay, slam just about all RE characters, including other spin off RE characters. AND BOOM. Ya got yourself the all-star mercenaries. (EDIT/To add on/Ideas) Revisit older RE levels and maps, adjust them to RE6 movement, Add on various weapons and outfits. EXAMPLE: All of Leon's Outfits in the ENTIRETY of RE series (including the CGI Films) are selectable. Add Color variations for outfits, expand on loadouts. 4-player Mercenaries No Mercy. Heck, make a deal with valve and get the L4D1 characters to complete the L4D set. Add various mercenaries themes and music that are within the Resident Evil OST. If they wanna do DLCs, Special outfits like DMC or street fighter outfits that offer unique moveset and attacks, or special characters like Frank West getting in on the action.

I've never played the mercenaries mode... just read about it at the time. So, it's a time-attack of some sort? You earn points by killing more and more enemies, headshots gives more points, etc, etc.. That's kinda lame tbh I would say a cooperative mode is more appealing, you can make any star duo and clean a map of zombies, beginning to end, clear objective, each classic character has a special move (Chris is bulky as fuck, Jill can dodge, Leon is pretty, etc)... So basically left 4 dead, but with a RE skin

@@RRRRRRRRR33 RE4 Mercenaries is still my favorite of them all. You can only get time by finding the time bonuses. Head shots wouldn't provide more seconds. I felt like this mode added some nice adrenaline while killing a bunch of zombies and super zombies (double chainsaw ladies, Garrador, etc). Playing with Hunk, Wesker and Krauser was great. What you are talking about is close to RE5 mercenaries. Which is esencially a co-op mercenaries mode. To me, having a friend didn't make it more fun, but instead took away some of the adrenaline of RE4 mercenaries. I would love if they added maps specific for Solo mode and other maps for co-op mode to make everyone happy

i love that RE survival max's pitching imagine the "ring" or "storm" or "circle" in BR types of games became what it's called "the horde" or "the infection" and it's approaching as the round progress. MAN I WANT THAT.

This video just cements more in my head that DMC and RE take place in the same world from different perspectives. Time to finish that DnD campaign setting I'm working on with that premise

Maximillian Dood - your idea for the Battle Royal type was in PUBG few years back when they had the PUBG- RE Event which ran for bout few months or so I believe. At night time zombies and other special mobs came out. So you were fighting players and zombies/mobs. It was pretty fun.

Everytime the issue of multiplayer RE comes up I bring this up: There was this thing called Byond where people could make very simple 2d multiplayer games, and there was one called RE Online. The concept was putting a bunch of players (as in dozens) in maps from the different games, let them prepare and then throw waves of zombies at them with a couple of bosses from the games. It was really cool because you had I dunno, 40 players holding up, planning around because you had different ways into the buildings so you had to divide your forces to hold them all together. You had different roles between medics and engineers and stuff and it involved a lot of cooperation between players in order to succeed. And if you died, of course you would spawn as a zombie. As in every time you got killed you'd respawn as a zombie again and again and if you did particularly good you could level up and turn into other types of creatures including the bosses themselves. It was all tied up with skins from the actual characters and music from the series. It was pretty darn good. There were also some modes that involved escaping from the city or going in and rescuing people. I think there's a lot of good ideas in that fanmade game from a decade ago that Capcom could definitely use.

The level they showcased made me realize the first section of Dracula where Jonathan is in the mansion would be a perfect fit for this style of survival horror gameplay with lady vampires following you around and puzzle solving.

heres an RE multiplayer game pitch: the setting is in eastern europe several months after the racoon city incident, youre a random civilian in the middle of an outbreak in the eastern block trying to survive with a few others. its a 3rd person loot shooter that doesnt have any live services with all your favorite zombies and monsters as well as variants and original monster concepts from previous games with raids, dungeons, full character customization, robust yet light RPG mechanics and drop in drop out co-op, with a difficulty that scales depending on not just your level but with how many people are in your party kind of like diablo to keep things challenging and interesting. the game can also be a bridge to all the books, comics and call backs to the S.T.A.R.S. european campaign we never got to see. call it *Resident Evil Outbreak: Iron Winter*

Seriously they keep pushing these wack MP when I would just poop my pants if they gave me Outbreak Remake

@@paulsmith9192 huzzah, a man of quality! Maybe not the MP team to develop it but if they took a good hard redesign to modernize it with the main team I could see it being an instant classic. I've been running Outbreak emulated online with my friends and it's just so satisfying.

@@semi-pacifist Haven't played Outbreak online since the ps2 days but I did go through a RE media phase where I played all RE games and managed to beat normal and hard modes early last year, I'll always hold it up there as one of they best and enjoyable RE games I've played. The locations, characters, hidden bosses and extra features added to the classic gameplay like moving while shooting in file2 or the infection system (which I thought was cool) all made the game more memorable than any multiplayer they made recently. Jim became one of my favorite RE characters for being just some guy who is sick of all these zombies lol

This looks really good, it has that creepy vibe and I can't wait to pick this up and play this with my surround sound cranked up full blast to experience this at it's fullest.

Got to say you really made me happy with the daylight comment. I was starting to think I was the only human who played RE games at night only. First run through is in the dark because it demands the correct atmosphere. Other playthroughs to unlock stuff I'll game during the day if need be.

I can't get immersed in this RE. Anything giant vampire mommy tells me to do ima do.

Your Resident Evil Online Multiplayer idea sounds fun as hell, 15 to 20 players dropped into Raccoon City Zombies, Mr.X roaming around and maybe possibly Nemesis sounds sick as hell and the objective is to survive or get out of the city.

Also wanted to point out at 8:55 there is a shiny object in the top right corner. Could be a return of the gems from RE4
