Matthew Perry Autopsy: : "Angry and Mean from TRT"

Ғылым және технология

Matthew Perry was reportedly "angry and mean" in the weeks leading up to his death. A friend blames this on his testosterone therapy as highlighted in this NY Post Article....but was the TRT really to blame?

Thank you! You handled the autopsy VERY delicately and appropriately. What is concerning is older family practitioners reading an article like this and confirming their concerns about TRT! I am 70 and the treatments have made a significant improvement in my quality of life!!

I had become grumpy and short tempered with my family prior to TRT. Afterwards, I went back to my normal happy and loving self.

Funny, I was angry and irritable before T therapy. Feel great now.

I’ve experienced many benefits from being on trt it is been almost 2 years . I do have a question for you though that is off topic I noticed that I’ve gotten sick twice a year for both years now (cold and flu) and before trt I hadn’t been sick in many years is there any correlation with the TRT ? Or do you think I’ve just been possibly unlucky?

There are some studies showing testosterone could be immunosuppressive, but I've never seen anything solid in terms of TRT patients actually getting more infections. My guess is you just had some bad luck.

I would be " Angry and Mean" if i had been feeling a lot of testosterone for a while before anyone told me . Also, i have had friends who abused amphetamines in our youth, and many have passed or problems like coronary disease. Like my 1 friend said , " I partied for Decades, and it's time to pay the Piper !"... R.i.p. @JayTalksinjury

Too low estrogen = anxiety and mood swings Too high estrogen = rage

It’s the opposite. High estrogen up-regulates the serotonin system via increase brain-derived neurotrophic factor…among other trophic factors in the brain that cause neurogenesis.

@@AndrogenReceptor01 Guess my body is lying to me. If I let my estrogen climb while on 600 test, instant rage. If it gets in the low teens, anxiety and irritability. I keep my estrogen right between 30 and 50 or so and it's smooth sailing.

@@ARGENTIN0 Hey, I mean we’re all different but that could certainly be the case. I’m on 250mg/week right now and I have no E2 sides…I would love to push it up but don’t want E2 sides
