In before this channel blows up. Vigorous Steve mentioned you on his recent podcast and I've now already watched almost all your videos. I like your style, your humbleness, and dead honesty. Keep at it and have a great run.

Impressed with such a comprehensive review. I've used Tesofensine on and off during the past two years. First run I did was 1.5 months at 0.5mg/day, got a noticeable mood improvement after a week or so, way more active and willing to take action instead of slacking, which at times I tend to. After a month it was evident I was losing fat mass in the midriff area (I also exercise extensively, I do 2h of high intensity exercise, mostly tennis, or 1h of resistance training 5-6 days a week). I noticed after 1.5 months I started to get "overactive" mentally, sort of, as if my brain would go into overdrive, and that didnt feel too good, so I discontinued use. Took a few days for that feeling to wane down. I've since used it here and there on an as-needed basis when I feel I need an extra umph. You mentioned about anyone with a history of panic attacks, and I do have one. Not major and all quite well resolved, but I've had 3 such instances that I can recall, and teso didnt seem to trigger anything of the sort, though I can see some potential for it on people with a more severe proclivity to panic attacks...

Do people have to follow a low tyramine diet with Teso like with other MAOIs? I haven't seen anything like that so far with this, but if it's in the same class, I would assume that might still be an issue. It really would be helpful if there was a medication interaction list or warnings about diet (if there is one). The reality is that nobody is going to be able to get the green light from their doctor when it isn't FDA approved yet, and people are taking it anyway. But really, thank you for this video and going over it in depth with everything you've been able to find on it. You've been the most informative source I've found so far.

Great question. It's probably not necessary but I would be cautious since this is, as you said, a relatively new drug. Some docs are prescribing it via compounding pharmacies. I'm hopeful it will pan out, but i'm waiting before I jump on the bandwagon.

Doc! i use armodafinil low-dose sometimes.. i "feel" similar effects but of course not as much. i need to find way to sleep on time , ill try melatonin. i am getting dry mouth, but i just drink more water so thats good thing i guess. i don't think of food at all, no cravings. but my son brought a subway sandwich and i had no problem eating, unlike semaglutide where i would eat maybe half than normal. I'm on Day 2 so i'll update after a week.

Best review of this drug ! My only concerns are the blood pressure and heart rate . But I took contrave and there was no issue ( although contrave didn’t work for weight loss) . Can I extrapolate and assume I would be ok. Normally my pulse rate runs in the 50s and blood pressure is normal . Thankyou

Thanks for the discussion about the impact on neurotransmitters and what happens in the synapses. It sounds like someone like me who can’t take SSRIs (due to a difference in biology that means drugs like that cause flooding in the synapses instead of the intended actions) probably can’t take tesofensine?

Meridia (Sibutramine) was fda approved but later found to cause strokes and cardiovascular problems .. they are probably being extra careful this doesn't have the same side effects. I'd wait out on trying, there could be a reason it hasn't been approved yet

nope, it's just competition between multiple drugs for the same enzyme. It's a theoretical problem with tesofensine. There's not studies I could find that answered whether or not we have to worry about this.

Gonna have to somewhat disagree with you. I have experience with the drugs its compared to. And to be very honest. I cant decide if its more like C or M. That said. This is my 2nd try. The 1st attempt got nothing. In fact It made me irritable and no noticeable effect on appetite. #2 was off the charts and had me questioning if it really was teso. I couldn't sleep for almost 3 days taking a similar sized dose as the 1st attempt. Lesson learned. I decreased the dosage by 99% and its perfect. I get a boost in energy, drive, mood, and clarity of thought. Its like the fountain of youth no joke. I use it only sparingly if I need a boost. The experience while enjoyable hints that it wont get any better and probably worse if used again the next day. But I will share this. I got it from an outlet and not off the street. And I still do question if what I have really is Teso to the point I considered purchasing something to test it. I can only handle about 5 drops in a glass of water. THATS IT. Anymore and I wont be able to get any sleep. I hope this helps and you look like Randy Couture yes!

Not sure. It would probably show up as a false positive for tricyclic antidepressants or possibly amphetamine. I'd have to dig up the tox data to see if anyone has looked into that.

I took this for 30 days, til i remembered there was an interaction with my bupropion, which ive been taking forever to try and help me quit smoking. Like...7 years. No go. 30 days of tesofensine...havent smoked since july (its new years eve at this moment). Also lost about 10 lbs, but note that if you do eat...you will have a full normal appetite. It just makes you not think about stuff if its not in your face. I did my first 24 hour fast while taking it and was never starving feeling. I'm interested in what exactly the interaction is with buproprion cause ive got another 30 day supply of it just hanging out on my bathroom counter atm.

@@GalenEppley source of what? Where I got my tesofensine? Or the "don't take it with antidepressants"? That's in the medical literature on tesofensine. WebMD. PubMed. It's called "Serotonin Syndrome" and taking anything that affects serotonin runs the risk of that, like antidepressants or triple re-uptake inhibitors.
