The Jake Origin Story: I grew up with glasses, 5.00 diopter high myopia, and yet today have 20/20 natural eyesight. No surgery, no glasses, I figured out how myopia actually works and how to reverse it (and no, not eye exercises!) The mainstream tells you it's impossible - but the whole concept that myopia is an illness, is complete unscientific nonsense (a 100 billion dollar a year profitable nonsense, though).

    dude, your videos prevented me from going blind. I was deep into my internet addiction and being stressed about my eyesight which was getting worse sooooo quickly. And I'm only 20. I knew that glasses only make it worse, so at first, I intuitively stopped increasing the diopters and I knew that I have to limit my screen time. I knew that intuitively from the get-go. But what made it difficult was that quitting glasses cold turkey when you're at -7 is impossible. Not only you're gonna need them for work or college, but also you get depressingly bored when you can't see shit, which leads to binging on screen time. But your videos helped me realize I could reduce my diopters lil by little and I'm good now. I'm not stressed anymore, it's getting better day by day and I just wanted to say thank you, please never stop spreading this. People have a sort of intuition when it comes to improving their vision, but no one is really listening to it. But when they do listen to it once and find videos like yours it's a lifesaver. Thank you, you're awesome :))))))

    It is very encouraging to hear the success stories of those who wore glasses since childhood and have reversed their condition. I have not started my journey yet because I am trying to get as much information before I take the leap. There so much out there regarding myopia and I find Jake's videos the best. I've been prescribed glasses since I was 7 years old and now I'm 60. I wish mainstream eye doctors would be honest and help people like me, instead they took a 7 yr old kid and destroyed her eyes. Not very professional at all.

    Here is my theory of why the last diopter is difficult: I think the original muscle spasm which caused (pseudo) myopia was in muscles in back of the head & neck. Then, when people use eye glasses, the eye glasses cause myopia (muscle spasms) in eyes. This new weakness (in eyes) relates to diopter above 1.0. So, glasses are responsible for creating myopia in eyes. But, the eye muscles are extremely adaptive, so it is pretty easy to correct them and get down to 1 diopter (using reduced lens method of Jake). From 1 diopter onwards, you have to fix the original muscle spasm in the back of your head & neck. That's where the bates exercises work. Or even Trataka.

  • @Sasha8pancakes

    @Sasha8pancakes

    That is an interesting theory, especially considering how often it's mentioned that posture and the muscles effected by posture effect vision.

    I like Matt’s channel. His videos went a long way to convincing me that this works because he came off as very authentic in them and you could see the struggle. Now I’m convinced it works but I’m just not sure if it will work for me. I’m getting crazy improvements though after just a month it’s very encouraging. But there’s a lot of fluctuations. I will say that even if I don’t get rid of glasses my eyes already are just so much more adept at looking in the distance with peripheral vision instead of tunnel visioning. I hated how I used to always tunnel vision and I’m amazed how I don’t now.

You say EM has been around for X years, hasn't gone crazy viral yet etc. Still all adding up in my eyes, and if these podcasts gain any sort of outside attention things could get bigger quickly. It hasn't happened yet but at the same time it would literally a logical fallacy to predict that it can't happen in the future (not saying you are). U get stuck on low myopia because your eye are close enough to normal so the eye don't see the need to ''adjustment'', that why using pluz to force your eyes to be farsightedness work so good, force the eye to stay a bit farsightedness +0.50 to +0,75 and u never gonna get bad distance vision, if they stay almost normal any eye spam and u get distance blur. Without pluz u never gonna get that positive state, vision gonna always be almot good and any eye spam u get blur.

    I really enjoy your videos. They are very helpful. I had a retina detachment in my right eye in December 2014. It had taken me 3 months to get the ok to go back to work. Eye doctors want to do a cataract surgery on that eye eventhough I began to see improvements slowly when I patch my good eye for a few minutes daily and force the healing eye to focus. I thnk that it could be a racked when I doctors put a far distance artifical lense into your eye instead of just removing the cataract. The natural lense has the ability to adjust it's focus from things far away to things that are close up. The artifical lense cannot do that. I had a high script anyway but I think that I could bring my right eye back to the script that it was before the rectina detachement and probably improve it from their. I had ran across a book some 22 years ago by Jacob Lieberman title "Take off your glasses and see" I had been doing eye execerses since but had slackened off. I was beginning to do it again in 2013 right before my retina became detached

    That's a good question: why is the solution given by you making my problem worse (1 yr later)? This applies to eye glasses. This applies to most of the modern medicines which treat blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems,... etc chronic issues. It seems like the solutions given by them only make the problem worse (1 yr later).

    @G E T R E K T I've had some bumps in the road but I am back on it now. I reduced too quickly last year and had to go back up. I don't see much difference between my -6.75 and -6.50 anymore on the eye chart and outside (optometrist had me at -6.75 before starting endmyopia). To me things look the same now wearing either one. I'm being more patient about reducing this year until I have enough experience by being careful about it. I'm waiting for the weather to get better so reducing goes easier and more smoothly. I also picked up some astigmatism possibly from too much reducing and monkeying around with lenses last year.

    Take a text, hang it on the wall, measure the distance until you see blurry and: 100/distance until you see blurry in cm. You will get your measured diopters (put a - in front of it). For example: 80 cm until it is blurry, 100/80=(-) 1.25 diopters! You can measure it three times a day for a week, build the average and go a little bit lower diopterwise. I would say for the first reduction one may have to try it out
