The Jake Origin Story: I grew up with glasses, 5.00 diopter high myopia, and yet today have 20/20 natural eyesight. No surgery, no glasses, I figured out how myopia actually works and how to reverse it (and no, not eye exercises!) The mainstream tells you it's impossible - but the whole concept that myopia is an illness, is complete unscientific nonsense (a 100 billion dollar a year profitable nonsense, though).

Hey jake! i just wanted to share my experience so far and I 100% agree in everything you've said in all your videos man. People listen to jake he's right. 4 months ago my "Full prescription" was at 2.50. I know i was way over corrected because i never used them and everything was super crystal clear. I started off with a -1.75 which gave me a pretty good blur challenge at the distance outdoors. 4 months later i am down to -1.00 and its been a whole month wearing them and im already getting really close to seeing 20/30 all im trying to say is this does work but you need to have your bad habits on check! and do lots of active focus! Thanks alot jake! Youre a real G for discovering this!

Grew up in the 80s with my parents experimenting with bates method and eye exercises. Although flawed, it taught me how to think atonomous on the subject. For example, I instinctively always refused astigmatism correction. Thank you very much for finally pinpointing the cause and solution. It helps me regain distant eyesight. Yesterday, My optician urged me to sign a disclaimer when my requested 'prescription' didn't match her measurements. Always good fun in debating an 'expert'. Keep up the good work!

Hey. God Bless. Really enjoy your videos. You are doing a great service. I had a retinal tear a few years ago and I have been extremely worried about my eyesight as I progress though adulthood. i'm 27 now and have debris circulating in my vision 24/7 due to my retinal tears. Your videos really restore me with a sense of hope for the future of my ocular health. I recently went from a -5.25 diopter to -4.50 and it seems to be working well for me. Eyes are very important and i'm glad you are presenting great alternative content in contrast to the typical "There is nothing you can do about it" . Keep up the good work.👍🏽

Context is important. I can wear very low diopter and still be able to see people faces. My differential glasses allows me to see people faces just fine. When people interact, they don't really interact from far distance but rather from close distance. Majority of our daily activities are done from short distance except for driving and outdoor activities. Most people will probably only need to see far if they are outdoor as most indoor activities are limited to space and thus seeing distance. Majority of people spend most of their time indoors especially in North America where it's cold majority of the time. Likely low diopter may not be a bad idea to wear for majority of time when doing activities indoor. My understanding is that wearing glasses for distances to do near distance activities could be harmful, just like reading a book or looking at computer screen with full strength prescription lenses. Since AF is considered voluntary that you can voluntarily control, then it should not be hard to do AF with extreme blur, you just make something very blurry less blurry. Why wouldn't AF work on extreme blur? I thought it was a process that you can control voluntarily where you can voluntarily bring things to a state of better focus, so in theory you should be able to bring slight blur to crisp clear and from extreme blur to less blur if you can truly control the ability to bring blurred things to focus, either way you are still able to exercise AF even with extreme blur

That's what bugs me! I can't make myself to wear normalized at home (small apartment). My differentials feel waaaày more relaxing, because I don't get that painful feeling when my eyes bump into objects that are too close even for my normalized prescription. I totally get this "don't reduce too much" thing but I prefer to trust my feelings. Also, I don't mind having 3, 4, 5 glasses. So that's probably the way I'll go.

Can you explain in what steps you reduce the values of your glasses when also a cylinder is involved. I got 3 glasses over 10 years and the values changed as if the optometrist used a dice. I admit i can see good with the last glasses, but since I'm wearing them it becomes ever harder to see without them. So ho do I challenged my eyes in the right manner, when I don't even know what to reduce and train step by step? Should I reduce the diopters of the sphere by 0.25-0.5, or by the Cylinder or by both? I have no idea what a "step" down is, when several components are involved.

I dont need glasses most of the day... it is clear in daylight but theres a challenge at night..... and i was not at home i will get my new normalised glasses as soon as i go get my checkup done Normalise means that power of that glass is less than your original prescription

you need a second reduction, for close up. so for close up, start using -0.25 glasses

If you already brought your glasses, then use them. If you haven't, try to get -1.75

How is the perscription calculator on your website supposed to be accurate? It has no way of adjusting for screen size. So someone with a 20" monitor would have a completely diffenent result than someone on a smaller laptop or phone.

I am -8.25 and -6.25. I felt my current glasses are a bit too strong for me after I did some exercises. I felt eyes really dry when reading with my long distance glasses. I felt immediately relief after I take off glasses at all. Though everything are blurry, I do find it improves slowly. The only problem is that it is not convenient as you couldn’t see clearly when doing things without glasses. also you don’t have goal to achieve if drops your glasses completely or reduce too much power as Jake says. But I think it does improve even you not wear glasses at all.
