Matchbox 20 is easily the most underrated band to come outa the 90’s

This band always makes my soul feel at peace, even when the songs deal with disturbing things.

I’m so glad I discovered your reaction to this! I agree with everything you said 😄. Rob Thomas’ voice swept me off my feet and the band is fantastic. I hope you enjoy some of their other songs as well as Rob’s solo hits.

I went to school with Kyle… got to meet the band. This is awesome to see new people appreciate their music!

One of my absolute fav bands. Their music is amazing. Especially the older stuff. The nicest guys as well. Their concerts never disappoint. Rob Thomas has an amazing solo career as well.

You will be happy to know that this song is about his wife Marisol when they were dating. She (and her family) wasn’t sure about her dating a rock star. They’ve been married over 22 years now. Rob Thomas is an amazing song writer. You won’t find a bad song within Their first two albums. They are also a great live band, part of that is because their fans are screaming the whole time. Ummm you’re Soooo wrong, this song was at least 2 yrs old before he met Marisol, he met her on the Santana video shoot for Smooth

When they performed this live (acoustic) Rob gave a brief history of the song and how it ended up on the album. Matchbox 20 is one of the few bands that sounds the same performing live and on the radio/studio/album!

So little short story about the song my fiance sing it to me in the airport when I was moving back to Minnesota I was a kid we got engaged when I was fifteen and I left when I was 16 and then at 17 he was going to come up and get me so we could go get married but he's saying this to me the airport right before I left. And he passed away right before we could get married so everytime I hear this song it makes me cry LOL.

Rob Thomas has songs that are about, not so good relationships and coping. The irony is, he can write soo sad songs but he has a good healthy relationship. Oh you said he's sweet right? He was born on a Valentines day. Mind blowing right? 👍👍

Love matchbox twenty but try smooth he wrote for his wife but he asked carols Santana to do the riffs so instead of saying his wife is smooth he looks at carols and says he's so smooth he wanted to meet Carlos for so long watch the documentary on it it reviewed carols to #1 but rob thomas writes for a lot of famous people but also has is own group

I found that awesome and interesting. Some people may say you need to seek out a partner that you have things in common with. I disagree. Myself I'm attracted to women outside my race and culture. First I thought it was crazy you didn't know who Matchbox 20 was. Then I watch how open you were to something you didn't know about. I mean wouldn't it be crazy if the person you were with already new everything you new. What's the point of that. What I just watched was you learning about something awesome from another culture. Now it's your turn to show Rob Thomas and I something awesome from a culture that your aware of. So now two people learned more about each other then if two people already new the same thing. Knowing the same is boring but watching you do your thing. I think you feel good about it. Leaning about someone is better then knowing how many things you have in common. Seems like it makes for a better partnership. There's a saying " Always assume the person your talking to knows something you don't". I just appreciate the respect and willingness you showed to learn and love something from someone else's culture. Says alot about you and and who you are. Optimistic, smart, and beautiful. Good for you. My kinda lady. :)
