loool this is a truly brilliant video Graham I came across this seller as well and couldn't believe how much questionable stuff he had that was getting bids!! Must say his rivets look good but PLEASE PLEASE folks do NOT be tempted as I nearly was ! !

Cheers, the rivets can look good as he places the transposed base plate over originals by slightly making the base plate holes larger. There are always tell tale signs and there are certainly casting variations which only the SF models have. Scum bag won't know this but when I have his forgeries in my hand for scrutineering I will conclusively prove the fraud. G

You can tell it is fake by the rivets. The front towing area has evidence of drilling out the original rivet and the rear rivet hole also has evidence of overdrilling.

Absolutely. Jonkers had hid under rock since this came out and is cowering like a big baby. Have you noticed he has listed none of his fakes since this exposure? There is a case being prepared against him as we speak. Nik the Greek is a total fraudster/faker also. Never mind his creations on ebay which he sells "as restored" it's what goes on outside of ebay. I have conclusive proof he creates models to order to third party agents to sell to unsuspecting victims. I KNOW, I nearly got conned by his minions early this year! Cheers Graham.

@@rockertron You're right, Jonkers stopped putting fakes for sale on eBay (for now ?). His account shows 750 feedback though. The amount of money he made out of scamming unaware collectors must be in the tens of thousands... Selling models worth exactly 0 £. It makes me sick that Nik and him always get away with it. I slowed down on purchasing rare and expensive variations on eBay because of these clowns. Reported them to eBay, to no avail. I hope they will face consequences soon. Such massive fraud going unpunished, that is UNREAL !! Cheers and good luck for Sep 29/30th, I will try to win some...

Nik_stil is every bit as worse, his ebay sales are just a front-what he does outside of ebay is shocking and he needs to be busted. Hopefully these videos will reach out to others. Eric Jonkers is a well known faker, producing these fakes for years. Most collectors know him, appearently not all. This story from "family collection" is nonsense. I hope, that one ripped off buyer visit him some day...

Isn't it amazing how some people are still delusional? The trouble is with collecting when you see a so called mega rare item you try an make it real in your head wishing it to be right. I've been caught-we all have pretty much but I'm a guy who wants something done about it now. If we combine as a community, share our experiences and knowledge of models we can pull together to stamp this out. Some people won't listen, some people will think I'm talking out of my backside and they are allowed their opinion but what I'm doing is a good thing and going by these posts it looks like I'm getting the support-so thank you. G

Graham, please keep these fake alerts coming in, I am informing as many people as possible of what these jokers are doing I just wish the selling sites would act and do something.

It amazes me that those that defend him are the ones who have bought his crap. They are afraid that they have lost money and don't want it advertised as they would look like fools. There are so many that Eric has ripped off in his long list of various Ebay Id's and yet despite continuous complaints to Ebay they still let him carry on. I am surprised no one has taken the matter to court as there is plenty of proof gathered over the years including emails to ebay etc that could be proved in a court of law that have failed in due diligence to their customers ie: the buyers.by allowing him to continue.

@@rockertron I had similar with a guy in Victoria, Oz He bought many YY's over the years from a certain seller here and must admit I had bought one from him as well. I got the Y16 Spyker in maroon from him which looked perfect till you checked the base and text was wrong type. I had apparently swapped it for his genuine one he had sent and that was it Ebay wiped it, luckily not a great loss. Years later I bought a yellow seat Y12 Thomas from a seller who I later found out was his ex wife. Same story and it's well published on a few YY related sites but basically same story and got some of my money back. The poor guy I was dealing with had spent thousands with them over the years and was part of his retirement plan and he contacted me after dealing with a well known collector of regular wheels here who checked his reverse wrecker only to find it was also a fake.When I saw the photo's he sent every one was a fake and I had the guy crying on the phone as he couldn't believe it. He was going round to confront them and was very angry and never heard what happened after that but he was mad as hell at the time.

Auction sites do nothing unless its a fake fashion item like diesel etc. When it comes down to toy cars they don't give a monkey's. We will win if we keep exposing-it's the only way. I've already had a victim contact me who has spent thousands with scum bag and is fraught and angered. I'm now working with him to get his money back. The fakes don't like giving money back-I assure you that and if enough people do that it'll stop them doing the vile trade. G

There are 2 ways of faking this, either using a RW body and transposing a SF chassis or by using a Nik_stil [The Greek guy who makes Mickey Mouse MB copies] repro rivet. His rivets are generally coned shaped-I've seen them at close. G

@@NeilPacino Hi, no you are safe with this one! The regular wheel was green and so was the first issue superfast so no rare colour variation in the transitional period. There are rare variations but nothing in the thousands except for pre production models. I will get around to doing a video on these at some point. G

Previously I bought 20 Taxi GPW and a 53 Zodiac Green BPW and took X-ray pictures of them and had them checked by experts. Conclusion both are original.

Graham does explain why they're fake - many simply don't exist as genuine models and others are so rare that you may only see one in many years of collecting. We're talking one in a million models, and this guy from Holland is constantly selling loads of them - they're obviously all fakes.

The sea green Lincoln is that rare that only 2 examples with cast iron provenance are known to exist in the world of collectors, SERIOUS COLLECTORS! Who know there stuff........AND YET, Eric Jonkers sells at least 1 of these every month sometimes more than 1 a month and has been doing this for years....... OMG, WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!

I have checked several models and they are genuine. The collection comes from his family and has never been for sale before. By the way, the 41c with Wire Wheels does exist. It can also be found on all leading sites.

Absolute rubbish! He has been faking for years, the same models over and over again. Wake up my friend-honestly let me help you if you have been ripped off. Why are you defending him? The mega rare models must have provenance like mine have. Scum bag can give no provenance to his models as he has faked them himself. I take it you have bought from him then? If so send them to me and I'll prove to you they are fake so you can bang on his door and get your money back. BTW the 41c only exists in peoples heads as they have unfortunately bought from faker scum bags. No listing in Stannard's guide, only fakes on the market as its easy to do. Despite them being shown on websites has one single version of this model got any provenance? If one has I'll change my opinion and post as such. This model was NEVER listed with these wheels in the day-they have come out in later years. Sorry if you are now disillusioned but that's the way it is. G

You seriously didn’t fall for that utter pish. Eric Jonkers is infamous for his fakery. Oh my god whoever told you that bull shit needs their head looked at. I’m telling you Eric the Eel has been at this for years faking rare models. He has been under the radar of many serious matchbox collectors, it has been proven on several occasion that Eric purchases donor models and swapped the base plates to make it look like a rare variation, that I’m afraid is no longer for discussion........that is what he does, end of, so any yarns you have been told that the collection comes from his family is fantasy.
