13:37 that’s called a Lothcat, they’re all over this planet but usually not domesticated. Ezra is the Jedi main character from rebels who introduced the force ability to communicate with animals to Star Wars canon, and in the show, Sabine is posted up in his crib in that tower, so that’s his cat basically and she takes care of it

  • @_Offensivebias_

    @_Offensivebias_

Isn’t animal communication just a passive ability force sensitives have. It can be trained and honed and you can get to the level Ezra has. We saw Ahsoka do it to some degree as an infant in tales of the Jedi and I’m pretty sure we saw it in TCW too.

  • @jasonmarbach

@@_Offensivebias_I meant that Ezra was the first person chronologically we saw do it, since Rebels came out before Tales of the Jedi. TCW had force calming and such like that, but Ezra was the first Jedi in canon (again, chronologically) that we saw truly commune with the animals. Grogu has done it too, in BoBF.

  • @_Offensivebias_

@@jasonmarbach ohh you are referring to release order. I see. The force ability you are referring to is called taming beasts. Which we have seen other Jedi do in canon before Ezra. Ezra simply had a more natural affinity for it and practiced more with it which gave him a greater level of influence and control. Another similar force power is called animal bond which we have seen Jedi and Sith do before Ezra as well. Btw release order and chronological order are different. Chronologically Ezra is actually the second to last force sensitive we have seen do it. The last one would be Grogu, and the earliest in canon is I think Darth bane Release order wise he is also one of the last. He only beats like cal kestis, ahsoka, and grogu on release order

For some of the younger fans: Thrawn is basically a foil for Vader. When Star Wars first came out, lots of people pointed out that Vader's tendency to murder underlings is really bad leadership because it destroys morale. Of course, the point is to show that his rage is self-destructive. Anyway, Thrawn is a very scary replacement leader for the Empire because he doesn't do that, which makes his troops fanatically loyal. His empathy is what makes him terrifying, which is very unusual for a major villain.

But Ahsoka is Anakin's Padawan during the clone wars, Sabine and Ezra were very close and were apart of the Phoenix Squadron (The main character group of Rebels). Sabine being Ahsoka's padawan is new info even to us Rebels fans (happened after the Rebels show). Ray is the man who plays Baylan Skoll RIP the goat. Hopefully that answers some of your questions.

Ray Stevenson aka The Older Dark Jedi aka Punisher passed away recently. Sabine (a Mandalorian) was trained in lightsaber combat by Kanan (former now dead Jedi), when she had the Darksaber (yes THAT Darksaber). Assumedly after the Rebels finale Ahsoka trained her. Ezra was Kanan's Apprentice and got transported with Thrawn to the unknown regions by space whales.

Rebels character rundown (minor spoilers): Kanan was a padawan who survived Order 66 because his master sacrificed herself for him. He was a bit mediocre to begin with and out of practice when he took on Ezra as a student. Because Ezra was so naturally talented, he felt in over his head as a teacher. He was a father figure for the crew/rebel cell on the show. He and Hera had a child together. The child appears briefly in the TV show (green-haired kid). Kanan lost his eyes during the show and learned how to use the Force to get by without them. Hera was the ship owner/captain and the mother figure of the characters on the show. She was also one of the founders of the Rebel Alliance. She's a crazy good pilot. Her Falcon-sized ship has a small auxiliary shuttle that appears in this show. Ezra Bridger: extremely talented force user who became Kanan's padawan over the course of the show. He disappeared while fighting Thrawn in the climax. At the end of Rebels, Ahsoka and Sabine got together and vowed to find where Ezra and Thrawn went. His main deal as a Jedi is his ability to communicate with animals. There is a species of giant space whales that can travel hyperspace. He convinced them to help him in the climax of the series, which is how he and Thrawn disappeared to parts unknown. Ezra was Kanan's apprentice, but he learned things from Ahsoka, and studied a holocron that Anakin made. He has a bit of a dark side to him. Because of his talent, Maul tried really hard to get Ezra as an apprentice. Zeb (purple alien guy) showed up as a cameo in another Star Wars show. I'm not sure if he's showing up in this show. He's wise-cracking, ridiculously strong and agile, and really angry about the things the Empire did when it occupied his homeworld. Sabine: graffiti artist, punk rock chick, Mandalorian. She's a very talented engineer who was once a weapons designer for the Empire. When she realized that a weapon she was working on would be used against the Mandalorians, she betrayed the Empire. Her family disowned her because she broke an oath in doing so. Ezra had a big crush on her. At one point, she wielded the black saber, and Kanan trained her in its use. Finding out that Sabine became Ahsoka's apprentice was a huge reveal on this show. That did not happen in Rebels. She was shown to be someone who could handle a lightsaber but really did not grok the Force part. You can always count on her to thumb her nose at authority. Chopper: Chopper is a straight-up droid psychopath, which gets played for laughs. Like R2-D2, he likes to swoop in and save the day, but he'll wait a few extra seconds because he thinks it's funny to watch his friends sweat. He will kill other droids just for the laughs. There's a scene in which he is shown playing with Hera's child. If I were a parent, I'm not sure I would be comfortable leaving my child with that droid. The droid wouldn't hurt the child, but I might be worried about what the child could learn…

Highly suggest watching REBELS as this is the first act of the "Faloni-verse" THRAWN animated to live-action story arc. Star Wars' version of the "MCU's Infinity Saga". Rebels and Clone Wars are BOTH top-tier animated series. It's much darker than you would assume, also.

3:22 Them 2 pulling up like that reminds me a bit of a scene of the 'Return' Star Wars the Old Republic cinematic (the old republic is my favourite star wars era btw). I would love to see you watch that short cinematic (it's about 5 minutes long). The Old Republic cinematics have some of the best star wars fights that I have seen so far, like ever. There are 5 other 5 min long old republic cinematics after that one and the next 2 ("Hope" and "Decieved") even tie into the 1st cinematic ("Return").

Baylan and Shin claim they aren’t Jedi but they’re definitely not Sith. If you notice in Shin’s hair, she has a Padawan braid. Jedi take these when they are apprenticed to a Master. They’re by far the most interesting characters in the series because they they seem like they’re dark side, but the way they act and appear kind of contradicts this. And their lightsabers are orange, not red. It may seem like a small detail, but in Star Wars your lightsaber color can say a lot about you. For example, Ahsoka’s white lightsabers are from an inquisitor she killed. Red crystal are made from bleeding regular lightsaber crystals with dark emotions like hate, anger and pain. Ahsoka purified/healed the red crystals from the Inquisitors blade, and the crystals turned white. Ray Stevenson who plays Baylan passed away back in May. I’m absolutely loving his character and it’s a shame that the world lost him. RIP Ray Stevenson and May the Force Be With You.

just incase. ahsoka is from the clone wars show and shes anakins padawan who left the jedi after being framed for a terrorist attack and the council exiling her. she then comes back to help mandalore and fights against maul whilst anakin was with mace fighting palpatine. in rebels she ends up becoming a huge figure in the resistance and joins ezra bridgers crew who fight against thrawn and ezra and thrawn disappear at the end but now have somehow returned and ahsoka promised ezra she will find him (she fought vader and ezra went through these halls of time and pulled her out of it) ezras master kannan dies saving everyone else. sabine and ahsoka now tryna find ezra. shit explanation but yeah. ezras crew was him, kannan, hera, sabine, zeb, chopper, captain rex, gregor and wolffe

Lupa, they aren't sith. They are called dark jedi. A dark jedi is a type of forcewielder that more steeped in the dark side than the light but haven't abandoned the light side fully.

They're not Sith and the Lightsaber blade colors is actually orange, red means that they're are fully committed to the Dark Side of the Force, Orange means that they aren't fully committed to the Dark, but also not fully committed to the Light either.

Lightsaber stabs are pretty clean they basically cauterize the wound immediately soo there isn't any bleeding. So as long as you don't get hit in a major organ you should be fine

Can't wait for this series and I hope this will be a good one. Ahsoka's lightsabers are based off samurai swords, which I think is pretty cool. Also if Thrawn survived, doesn't that mean that Ezra might have survived too?

I don't have a problem of Sabine surviving if she got immediate medical attention that Qui-Gon did not. She's a major character in Rebels and Disney isn't going to kill her in the first episode. What trips me out is how fast she healed like she's Wolverine. I don't know how long the time was between the end of Ep 1 and early Ep 2 but it felt like Sabine healed quickly and with no scarring. Even pregnant women who gets a cesarean will get scars. Did Indiana Jones pour holy water on Sabine with the Holy Grail?

Granted, unless the light saber hits vital organs that injury couldn't be fatal cuz lightsabers injuries dont result in bleeding. Plus technology is better now[evidence = lothal is more developed and has rebuilt], the empire has fallen and war heroes like her can get medical care that was only reserved for high ranking empire officers when the empire was still standing

Does no one remember that this is sci fi and there are things in Star Wars that don't exist in real life? Like bacta? It's weird to compare pregnant women in the real world to a character in a TV SHOW!!
