When he reconnected by saving Leia and then when his emotions flared up after learning Anakin was alive he basically put out a beacon on himself. That shot at the end was Anakin and Obiwan feeling each other through the force again for the first time in 10 years

@@Velg Yeah, and the fact of the matter is that both Rebels and the Kenobi show are within their Canon. But yes, they'll probably lessen the impact of "death" once again. Rest of the show, besides that surprise, is great.

It's REALLY weird, I've never had a SUPER-big reaction to Vader like some people seem to have, but he was *literally* the First Great Villain in my life, all capital letters. I went to see Star Wars in theaters during the first re-release in 1981, and it embedded Vader in my head. So even though I don't have an over-the-top reaction to him, when he does show up, these last few years it's really started to give me chills and a whole level of excitement. He's the first Big Bad I ever saw. One of the greatest villains ever. That's special.

The Grand Inquisitor can not be dead. He is a big part of “Rebels” which takes place 5 years after this. He actually dies 5 years from when this episode takes place. His alien species is also known to have 2 stomachs, so he might have just been stabbed in one of them. He has to survive or the “rebels” show will be made non cannon.

Jedi robe is a common misconception, its a TRAVELING robe. Its a common clothes because its great for traveling in most environment and keeping a low-profile. Its been around since before the Medieval ages. It make sense for Jedi to commonly wear the robe as they travel often and prefer the function of the robe over style.

@@SushiBandit28 most jedi get ID'd because of their lightsaber, very signature weapon, as opposed to their robes. There were other signs, like the padawan haircut, but given the visual diversity of this universe, if one was not specifically familiar with the style it might pass unnoticed.

Jedi “uniforms” being the robes that Obi-Wan wore in A New Hope isn’t really that big of an issue as some people make it out to be. It just basically means the Jedi basically don’t really have a distinctive uniform. It’s like the equivalent of telling your employees just to wear casual clothes, since plenty of non-Jedi wear traveling robes too.

@@Omegeddon only the robes were the same, and the point of the robes is that they are not distinctive, plenty of other non-Jedi individuals in the Galaxy wear robes too. And when there are only about 10,000 Jedi in the entire galaxy, and at least a trillion of sapient beings living throughout the galaxy, even if only 2% of the non-Jedi population in the galaxy wore the same/similar basic nondescript robes regularly, that’s still 2 millions times the number of Jedi who also wear those same robes. Meaning if you stopped a random person wearing the standard clothes of a Jedi (nondescript robes), they are far far more likely not to be a Jedi than an actual one.

He actually did know Anakin was Vader, he saw a hologram in Revenge of the Sith where Palpatine called him Vader. He just didn't think Vader/Anakin was alive since he thought Vader/Anakin was burned alive on Mustafar. A nice little detail, notice how Obi-Wan reacted when she said "Vader", not "Anakin." Once he heard the name "Vader", it clicked that Anakin was alive

Chase scenes with a little girl are difficult to do. She can't run fast enough to be convincingly agile and you can't exactly get a stunt double. I do agree that they should've avoided doing chase scenes all together with her.

To be fair, him not grabbing her could be him being cautious. Imagine seeing a grown man in a hood holding a kicking screaming girl trying to get away from him. The troopers might not have realised he was a jedi but they would have had his ass in jail as a suspect for some shady business. As for the running on the roof he hasn't been a jedi in 10 years, probably the most arduous task he's had to do is slicing through sand whale meat.

No he knows he’s Vader he just thought he killed him because in ep3 (the movie not of this show) Obi-wan sees a recording of Anakin and he’s called Vader there. So he knows Anakin and Vader are the same person.

Yeah he literally fought darth vader in episode 3. He had already turned when he faced him. The suit didn’t make him darth vader. Him turning to the dark side did. The question is how did Reva know since he didn’t exactly put out a press release. Not even Ahsoka knew. Only reasonable explanation is that she was one of the kids at the temple in the beginning.

Obi-Wan was horrified that his former friend is basically suffering a fate worse than death 😰😱🥺😣😔.
