Great finale! curious to see what becomes of Baylans character, if they offscreen his arc or recast

They will most likely do a little bit of both. They will offscreen a bit of his arc and essentially turn him into "The Son", which will allow them to change the casting to match the change of character. The owl you saw was the embodiment of "The Daughter". Overall the show started slow but really built up towards the end and did a extremely good job at setting up a follow-up movie that might actually be legitimately good.
The statues you see are The Mortis Gods, The Father, The Son and The Daughter basically the Gods of The Force (Clone Wars can explain and Mortis is a George Lucas creation)

no, Mother Talzin used a complete energy blade made of magick. The blade of talzin is a physical blade created and imbued with magick. you could argue that it's a retcon or an inconsistency that they couldn't alleviate in live action since they wanted to choreograph her use of the sword in an old Chinese cinema style which requires the grabbing of the spine of the blade so they had to make it a physical sword. All we really learned is that Talzin must be a very important name/ thing in the Nightsister culture for a blade capable of clashing with lightsabers to be called that and the head Nightsister in Dathomir who rivaled palpatine to have the same name.
They said Sabine was a problem not cause she's gonna become one but because the jedi in general are a problem to the nightsisters and nightsister magick is composed of the dark side of the force so they're natural enemies. FYI Darth Maul is the son of Nightsister Talzin who made the sword they showed

Fun Fact: My father trained alongside her back in the day when he was learning from Danny Insosanto.
Roshi and Sheera need to get on Clone Wars ASAP, those statues at the end are from the GOATd Mortis Arc Also, its very possible that they're teasing Abeloth to be the one calling to Baylan. For those who don't know, Abeloth is considered the most powerful being in Star Wars Legends, an Eldritch god type being that took the combined might of Luke, his entire Jedi Order, the Sith at the time, and a weapon created specifically to kill her to actually beat her. And this is Legends Grandmaster Luke, who is OP af. So yeah, she's a huge problem and if it is her, the galaxy is in for a rough time.

So in this one 45 minute episode Ezra gets a new lightsaber (that looks very much like Kanan’s😢), we learn what caused the divide between Sabine and Ahsoka, Morgan Elsbeth seriously leveled up and gave us one of the coolest and best shot duels we’ve ever seen with Ahsoka, the Night Troopers truly became one of the most terrifying zombie armies of all time, Sabine finally managed to use the Force and become the first ever on screen Mandalorian Jedi, Sabine and Ahsoka managed to send Ezra home at the cost of them being stranded, Thrawn well and truly defeated the Jedi while also showing genuine remorse at losing his most loyal and capable follower in Morgan, Ezra finally reunited with Hera and Chopper (though I’m pissed we never got to see Zeb this whole season), we learn Baylan is searching for something connected to the Mortis Gods, and the final shot is of Anakin watching over Ahsoka!😮💨 I honestly wish this episode was longer given how there was SO MUCH stuff that happed but the pacing was a little fast, I really wish we had more than a minute of screen time with Skoll and Hati. I’m still sad that Ray Stevenson never got to live to see the love he would’ve gotten from fans for this show. Still the last scene of him standing on the statue of the Mortis Gods is now etched into my brain forever. I still wish Ray Stevenson lived long enough to see the overwhelming love and praise he would’ve gotten from fans for is perfect performance as one of the most amazing and complex characters in all of Star Wars. Rest In Peace Ray, you will live forever in the hearts of Star Wars fans. And I hope that these 3 finally take the plunge and watch Clone Wars and Rebels.

We can end the "Days since we last saw Ezra" counter, but now we've got "Days since we last saw Sabine and Ahsoka" counter. Some slight explanations for the finale The bird that Ahsoka saw is called Morai, and is linked to both her, and an embodiment of the Light Side/Force god known as "The Daughter." The statues Baylon was on are statues of what are essentially force gods known as "The Father" who represents balance, and "The Son" who is the Dark Side. All three gods lived on a planet called Mortis, which was seen in a Clone Wars arc.
There is an upcoming Star Wars mandoverse movie in a few years around 2025/2026 that's directed by Dave Filoni who created the show and the character Ahsoka.
Just wanted to say it's been a lot of fun following a group that wasn't too familiar with this area of Star Wars stories, apart from Lupa. Y'all had some fun thoughts and ideas I wouldn't have considered and it was refreshing. Here's hoping we get season 2 soon enough
23:58 Finding Thrawn's Chimaera on Dathomir in S2 is perhaps the key to finding Sabine and Ahsoka as Thrawn's Peridiea coordinates are probably still stored on his ship.
Mountain carvings are the Mortis Gods The Father, The Son and The Daughter (Missing her head on the left) the original Force Users. They were in Rebels on the mural that opened the path to The World Between Worlds.

@YaBoyRoshi, 8:56 A military citation is A GOOD THING! That's an award for exemplary work.
So for star destroyers, it's called orbital bombardment. also known as an orbital strike, was a military strategy, where capital ships (such as Star Destroyers) would fire their main cannons from orbit to the surface of a planet, causing heavy damage to the designated target and its surrounding area. This strategy was used mostly to wipe targets that were in close proximity, like regular ground troops, or was used to easily deal with large heavy targets. However, the tactic was imprecise (not accurate like you looking down a scope), especially if the target was moving. in practice the bombardment would reduce cities to steaming craters and laying waste to entire continents on their own.

I like Baylan's implied story. In trying to find the Mortis Gods, I imagine he wants to "turn the power off and on again" for the Force to address how the Force affects people's minds and philosophies. I mean, if you think about it, the Force rewards only bad personalities. To be so completely detached from emotion that you would let small, cruel acts like kidnapping, murder, "struggle cuddles" and other shit all for the greater good. Or on the other end of the spectrum, you are SO emotional that you're a passionate dictator who gets mad at everything and kills everybody left and right. It's not hard to see why Baylan would want to push the restart button on the Force.
A very strong actress who does her own stunts in a galaxy far far away, we are talking about the one and only Diana Lee Inosanto.
"Somebody left the group chat." 🤣
the place where baylon is standing on is a statue the father with the son and the daughter next to it, they are kinda the gods of star wars
As a Animated star wars fan this series was fucking awesome everything for the most part was fire and going to a new galaxy like dawg this is what they should be doing imo
Lol in short Baylan said forget praying ima go to heaven and talk to god myself 😂 he was standing on a statue of the mortis gods….who may or may not control the flow of the force…the weird thing is I believe they’re all dead but you know lol the force does what it does. the owl that follows Ashoka is a spirit of the daughter who is the embodiment of the light side. Baylan was standing on a statue of the father (balance) next to him was the son (dark side) the daughters statue was missing it’s head tho
May have traded Sabine and Ahsoka for Ezra, but at least the new republic has to listen to Ezra "You know that shit Hera warned you about? Here's my first hand account of...yeah, like ALL OF THAT"
5:28 Yikes! I don't blame you man! 😂
The final villain of star wars is on that planet Abeloth
The "owl" that Ahsoka sees is Morai. It has ties to Ahsoka and the Daughter, a representation of the Light Side of the Force from the realm of Mortis. It can usually be spotted near Ahsoka. Vader sees it on the final episode of Clone Wars. It even appears on The Mandalorian, just before Din Djarin finds Ahsoka. There's a whole arc in Clone Wars dedicated to it which ties into this episode directly. Baylan is not looking for a Jedi temple. He's actually looking for the Mortis realm itself it looks like. Here you see him standing on the hand of a giant statue of the Father, one of the 3 Mortis gods. To his left you see a statue of the Son, who in this iteration looks surprisingly like actor Sam Witwer who coincidentally voiced the character in Clone Wars. To the right of the Father we can see what remains of the statue of the Daughter, her head having crumbled away probably eons ago. It's not clear what Baylon wants with the Mortis gods, but if he knows about it and is seeking it out then it might have huge ramifications with the way the Force works throughout the universe. We'll have to wait and see what comes of it. As far as Thrawn, it's been hinted that Dave Filoni will be working on a theatrical film that unifies all of the characters from this era of Star Wars. The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, Rebels and Ahsoka. Something big is coming and it's likely Dave's version of "Heir to the Empire", where all of these forces will have to unite to defeat Thrawn and the threat he poses to the galaxy.
17:41 Lupasan: I’m a Hat Us: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
In order to understand what Baylon is looking for, watch season 3 of clone wars episode 12 to 17. That should clear up alot about Dathomir and the power that Baylon is being drawn to. The power is also directly connected to Ahsoka and why u keep seeing the Owl, Morai.
Balon is in search of the final member of the "Gods of Mortis" family known as the mother aka the abeloth. A very powerful and dark entity that was locked away by the ones on their home world before they abandoned it for Mortis leaving the mother behind because she is a pure evil monster. Balon is being tricked into finding her so she can get free.
You know I was gonna lowkey laugh at Roshi eating grapes and stuff, cuz I'm here stuffing my face with chips, but then I just noticed out of nowhere Roshi looks way skinnier than usual and I got up and got some grapes too :X Great job with the self control Roshi! It's showing.
Zombie Stormtroopers are frightening as Hell.
With how incompetent everyone in this show is, I’m glad the First Order blows up five planets in the future.
Thrawn is probably returning to Dathomir because of the Zeffo temple to Khujet, a very powerful place steeped in the Dark Side of the Force. The temple on Peridea was also of Zeffo construction, the runes on the walls speak of Khujet. I lowkey hope this is all building up to the appearance of Cal Kestis in live action.
the owl is Morai part of the daughter the statues where of the mortis gods but the daughter was headless.

There is more lore involved than you think with those statues. There is a reference to them in Clone Wars and Rebels season 4 if you watch. The witches just show there is more than Sith and Jedi that use the Force. The Daughter, The Father, and The Son.
Detail that new viewers might miss, but is at least said in the show if you listen closely. Kannan jarrus is mentioned as both Hera's son's father, and as Ezra's master. Which sets up for new viewers why Hera is fighting so hard for Ezra. Rebels' viewers know that Hera is a mother figure to Ezra, but a new viewer can get that info from those two lines.
The Father. the Daughter. The Son. this show pleases my Rebels soul

15:34 Yikes! 😂
If you guys haven't seen Star Wars: Rebels, you should really watch it. It's good and it helps shed a lot of light on this series. As for Ezra in the Stormtrooper armor; I don't go as deep and dumb into the lore as the hardcore Star Wars nerds so I'm sure people will clear up some of this explanation. A lot of people speculate on Ezra being good, bad or somewhere balanced in the middle. People say he is secretly bad largely because he looks to the Dark Side a lot and he collects trophies of his victims like a serial killer. In Rebels just as in this series, he collects Stormtrooper helmets and parts of their armor. The "chainmail armor" he wore under his clothes (you can see it in his close up shots) are all Stormtrooper dog tags. He was tearing into Thrawns' men.
This is the setup: Heir to the Empire has to happen now.... so Thrawn was always getting out. Q: Why did you bring a sword to a gun fight? Sabine: I'm Mandalorian Beeyotch! Both, both is good! 1. Now we have a really large library of force power undead: Sith Spirits, Jedi Force Ghosts, Inquisitor Gas-wraiths, Night Trooper/Nightsister Fast Zombies, and Death Trooper Deadites. ALL CANON!! 💀💀💀.... All we need now is Luke's first legends girlfriend doing possession after escaping into a Mainframe. 2. The force has never been required for deflecting. Blaster bolts, as proven by the mandalorian royal guard who can deflect and redirect blaster bolts with nothing more than pikes. ( But yes it does help) 3. The one time in the entire Star Wars saga that a lightsaber's ability to EASILY dismember would be useful. And they don't use it against the zombies..... [facepalm] 4. Baylan standing on Peridia's LOTR Argonath of the Mortis Gods, Before the father the son and the ruins of the daughter..... he HAS to be Hearing the call of the mother, Abeloth. ( Never listen to the Eldritch Ancient whispers. They always go badly.) 5. Even though we know they do Necromancy, all of the Dathomiri casket pods have lights and power on them. That makes me think they could simply be hibernation sleep pods, which would be a thing before the age of hyperspace travel. Carbonite has been used in many different ways.... Look at the council of Taris (SWTOR). Morgan It is responsible for repopulating her planet Dathomir!
Baylon probably on his way to kill Anakin on Mortis (or some place like Mortis) lol. Ezra being home at least provides evidence to the New Republic about Hera's warnings of Thrawn's comeback. Too bad for Ahsoka and Sabine being stuck but they will probably find a way out later

Its so weird watching them react to the whole season without any knowledge of the Clone Wars and Rebels series. You'll see an obvious reference and it goes over their heads. 😂 Can't wait for them to watch both though, and hopefully the Bad Batch too, all 3 are great
