On every winter Saturday afternoon in January, February & March for the last twenty years, Toledo area travel fans gather together in the city's glorious Metro Parks for a half hour trail walk in the woods followed by hot coffee and an exotic travel presentation. For an hour and a half a speaker gives these armchair travelers a firsthand look at their experiences in places like Morroco, Italy, Mexico and many other exciting destinations through photos and videos. Mary Lou Leonard has led Travel Circle for twenty years, booking the speakers and producing the increasingly successful event working with the Toledo Metro Parks, the Maumee Valley Adventurers and originally with Hosteling International. In 2019 Mary Lou retired from her position with Travel Circle and we were there for her final afternoon.
