Saying public sentiment is low is not an overstatement. Even in MCU-dedicated fan spaces, the fandom in the past 3 years has morphed into sounding like the Star Wars and old DCEU fandoms.

Agreed with Hall H. Had the privilege of just walking in, with no lines when I was barley a teen in 2006 and 2007 for Raimi's Spider-Man 3, and the birth of the MCU with Iron Man and Hulk. Camped out and got in 2013, 2014 and 2016. At a certain point I just realized, I spent thousands of dollars on hotel/food to only sleep outside on the floor with bugs, dirt and grass just to get in to see some celebs and previews. I'm good now. LOL.

If John's theory is right about a new Blade being announced you need the actor to be a teenager as the new Blade, then, by the time they eventually get round to filming Blade the teenage actor will be the right age to play Blade.

Jon, this years D23 is moving Hall D23 (their version of Hall H) which held 7k people to the Honda Center which holds 16k+ people. Their ticket tiers allowed you to purchase a specific seat at the Honda Center each night and/or just a ticket to the convention. Do you think Comic Con will be watching how this goes before they do something similar next year?

Yeah and I agree with John about the big screen. Remember at Star Wars celebration 2019 where people inside and outside the panel there were big screen watching the trailer live? I remember that day as I was watching the livestream at home in Sydney Australia.

things could change you know, Sony could theoretically tell marvel, go ahead and announce Spiderman 4 for us, or if anything both studios would announce it togather

I’ve never been fortunate enough to attend SDCC but could the reason they don’t do closed-circuit broadcast outside the Hall H panel because the people outside the panel still have their phones and would be able to livestream/record any exclusive footage meant only for those in attendance. And I know people are still able to sneak in phones to Hall H and leak stuff but I think that may be the reason they don’t. Despite all that I do think they need to work on finding a bigger venue for Hall H. One of the main reasons I haven’t been is that it’s seemingly impossible to get a spot there. Feels like I’d have a better chance of winning the lottery.

this is the roots of there hype they should be there when you working ur way back up. 2 things i expect is cap 4 and thunderbolts with trailers n cast. maybe x men some avengers and hopefully a shang chi announcement

100% agree with you. If anyone is going to announce Spider-Man 4, it’s going to be Sony. There’s no way they’re going to let Marvel have the honor of announcing it. Also, Sony needs a really important announcement regarding Spider-Man because Morbius and Madame Web have made them a laughingstock.

I doubt they will, but I'd love for them to address the fan disappointment. Maybe they say something like, "We understand the recent fan disappointment, and are working on fixing that." It might be meaningless, but man, I just want to hear that they realize it and are TRYING. Of course the Fantastic Four stuff is something I'm looking forward to, but also, X-Men. I get that Avengers 5 is coming first and all that, but the X-Men are my favorite team. I can't wait for more info on that.

John if you're talking about Petco Park which is the baseball stadium closest to SDCC, that's the stadium for the Padres, and comic con happens right in the middle of baseball season. Chances are good that a game is going to be played there that day.

I have a wait and see approach to Marvel. Hard to get excited about anything they do these days.

The only thing you mention that I don't think is happening is the Spider-Man 4 announcement. Sony has never let Marvel make those. After Comic Con and after D23, there's that weird one in Brazil. That's where Sony likes to make all their big announcements. That's when I think we get the title,director,release date,etc. Not at any Disney or Marvel panel.

Prediction - Avengers: Secret Wars will be pushed back a year at minimum to flesh out the lead up to it with other films.

spiderman while i love it i want other shit. expand the univers why invest soo much money on the little retern for spiderman when they dont own it.

You’re going to get the entire phase straight through Avengers 7. Guessing Avengers 5 is Time Runs Out or Eternity Wars, then Avengers 6 is Secret Wars and Avengers 7, the second part of Secret Wars will be Avengers Forever. They have had no direction, I believe they do now, and they are going to want to show it. My bold prediction, they bring RDJ, Evans and ScarJo out and announce they will be back in various projects.

I think they will announce most of these things, but will hold off on some until D23 2 weeks later!

Bringing out Mahershala with John Wick director Chad Stahelski would build even bigger hype.

There's a good chance that they will announce the release date for x-men 97 season 2. As much as I want season 2 to be release in late 2024 expectally seeing that post credit scene. They will most likely release season 2 in 2025 even if the animation is already competed. I do wonder if season 2 will have more than 10 episodes? Maybe season 2 will come out before or after Daredevil born again.

Comic Con is a chance for Marvel to kind of wipe the slate from the last few years. The convo around them post Endgame (and really post covid) is how and why they fell off, and now they have a chance to put it all behind them. Or they can introduce a bunch of stuff people won't care about and further tarnish the brand.

Well I'm glad that they're returning to San Diego Comic-Con I look forward to hearing what they have to say what new films is going to be coming out trailers that they can reveal I'm just hoping that they don't go overboard and they're going to talk about what they're doing in 2026 20/27 and 2028 don't go overboard you don't know how the world is going you don't need to flex over the top just to make the DC Universe look like garbage because I'm pretty sure if James Gunn is also coming he's got some tricks up his sleeve and no he's going up against some MVPs so simply just say what you need to say talk about what you doing next year or the year after that and that's it don't go overboard

We already got some Wonder Man news, during The Official Marvel Podcast Kevin Feige himself finally talked about Wonder Man but he didn’t want to say much about it cause he said they have talked very little about it and he described Wonder Man as a show that’s something very different than what they had done before so it seems like maybe he’s holding off on giving us more information until Comic Con or D23 to talk about Wonder Man but Feige himself has said Wonder Man is still happening

I think all the announcements are wishful thinking. I think they’re still reorganizing the whole structure of the next 2 phases. This is what we’ll see guaranteed Captain America Brave New World, Thunderbolts, Fantastic 4, Agatha, and Daredevil. Then maybe 2, or 3 big announcements. Avengers/New Movie announcements/Tv Shows. Wild Card that would legit break Hall H. Who’s Playing Doom… If they announce that it’ll catapult marvel as the winner of Comic Con

They need to announce things that are certain. Movies coming out in 3 or 4 years is no longer appealing, it's actually obnoxious specially considering they might not happen at all. They need to do A LOT of damage control.

Kang dynasty avengers is avengers 6 not 5. They announced 3 avengers movies. Comic con will most likely announce the title of avengers 5 with casting and filming next year. The two parters that used to be called kang dynasty and secret wars, which is 6 and 7 will be addressed at comic con most likely. However, less info compared to avengers 5.

its honestly a bit late for Agatha at this point. they missed the momentum and i highly doubt anyone will tune in even if its good. i only watched the first one due to scarlet olsen being so good

I dont think they are able to show something big. The interest is just gone. Deadpool 3 will be a fanservice hit but not a good movie

I liked the first Deadpool but he is not favorite of mine don't care too much for him.
