Same, man! I remember being stoked to see Iron Man in something animated for a change, as I only really knew him from the Civil War comics around that time and Ultimate Alliance. So crazy how Iron Man is literally everywhere now in this post-MCU world

The OG trio was Wolverine, Spidey, and Hulk, but because Iron Man was getting a big push and Wolverine was doing his own thing with the X-Men on the movie side of things, they swapped the two, which wasn't a bad decision. This move helped Iron Man edge closer to the mainstream media, and Wolverine didn't lose any sort of popularity from it.

The amount of joy and nostalgia I just got from seeing the thumbnail is uncanny. I loved watching this as a kid back in the day.

This short for me encapsulates 2000s Marvel and Marvel in general for me. Its the perfect distillation of everything i love about Marvel.

I’ve heard people prefer Spider-Man be a loner character mostly i enjoy spider-man standalone stories but I also love when he teams up with other heroes from the Marvel universe.

@@abhinavgandham4883 in the comics Tony Stark gives Peter the Iron Spider during the Civil War when he's almost 30, in the movies he gets (one of the best Spider-Man suits from the comics) when he's like 15 and he uses it across 4 different movies, everything about the MCU Spider-Man was just wrong from the start, there's no need for him to use any other suit other than the Iron Spider from the near beginning of his journey because it's so OP, having a nanotech bulletproof suit with shit ton of technology and coming back to using a plain cloth suit is like willingly going from driving a Bentley Continental GT to driving a PT Cruiser, it just makes no sense because Spider-Man was not intended to be in the MCU and he was shoehorned into Infinity War and Endgame

I remember my dad showing me this short sometime in the late 2000s or early 2010s but I had no idea it was actually made quite a bit earlier than even the first Iron Man film or that it had a tie-in comic. It's interesting to learn all of this history behind such a nostalgic short.

I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I watch those Marvel Snap animations more than I should. Those little shorts are probably the best animation I’ve seen from Marvel in years & I am completely fine with saying that.

I think you could really go further with all the connections that old Marvel animation has with the MCU and other later films. A lot of these things had producers in common like Avi Arad and Kevin Feige. The 90s Spider-Man cartoon was a clear influence on the Raimi films and so many other pieces of media. Honestly sometimes more than Batman ‘89/BTAS were for DC

For the design of Spider-Man, this thing seems to be part of the universe Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Ahhh...My childhood...

I remember the first time I heard of Iron Man was seeing a toy commercial that used footage from this short. It was almost immediately followed by a trailer for the first Iron Man movie. A crime that we didn’t get this trio team up moment in Infinity War

Not sure how or why but I distinctly remember an event at my school where every kid in my class got a copy of the Marvel Adventures comic. Chances are it was probably one of the first comics I ever actually owned. Because of it I found the short online and because of that, was super excited for the Iron Man movie. 2 things I learned from this: 1. I remembered that found my love of comic books through this short, and 2. The marketing guys behind Marvel at the time were freaking good at their jobs.

Dude I saw this thumbnail with those character models, and I just activated like sleeper agent and all the memories from when I watched this around 2008 and all the memories surrounding that year just came back to me all at once

This movie and some other were made for a Madame Tussauds Museum. They also mentioned A.I.M. cuz, you can read it when the Robot shows its atomic countdown

I saw this as a kid and recently rewatched it, wish Marvel did more of these CG movies. One of my favourite Spidey VAs and my definitive Iron Man in one short? Easily one of the best goddamn things Marvel did.

In 2012 I immediately noticed the parallels from avengers to this short with Iron Man

I love the meta narrative of Spidey, the biggest multimedia superhero at that time because of the Raimi trilogy, basically giving the rub to Hulk and Iron Man, who’d both be the first heroes to feature in phase 1 of the MCU. That end shot with him saying “you guys are my heroes” and only them two appearing on the newspaper cover conveys so much.

I loved this short when it came out. Only the first two parts were out when I found it and I would search KZread every week to see if the new episode was out. I was really hoping they would turn this into a show or another animated movie. Thanks for bringing back the awesome memories!

Kind of crazy I found this video, was thinking about that short a few weeks ago trying to recall where it was from. I remember my school giving out that tie-in comic and looking up the video when I went home.

I remember watching this on Marvels website when I was in elementary school. It was an awesome time. I still think about this every now and then.

As I watched this short(s) before MCU Avengers, when Iron Man falling scene happened on screen in 2012 and my instinct rung that the Hulk would catch him mid air just like this short & It happened for real! I had the same Endgame Thor reaction - 'I knew it!' Also, the triumphant music notes in this animated short (especially when Iron Man lifts the robot to throw it to space) have some striking similarities to Henry Jackman's X-men First class themes. Plus that spider-man design must be an homage to Scott Johnson's Spider-man artworks.

I forgot all about this! Good lord this took me back. The craziness is all points you made about the MCU. They straight up said "Avengers? We have that at home." 😂

Man, I forgot how brilliant this short was back in the day.

This is the very first video that I watched on KZread on the same day that the Internet appeared at my house, such a special and nostalgic memory for me. And when I played Marvel Ultimate Alliance the same year, I lost my head with joy that this was the same Spider-Man. When I recently noticed that they updated it to the version, my body was in goosebumps and a tear of growth appeared in my eyes, deam we are really gating old, you right.

The Iron man push was so organic. He was getting more exposure than ever because of Civil war and ultimate alliance. I even credit this short for doing alot for that push. His animated movie came out the year before his big screen debut. I remember being more interested in the character than ever just a year or 2 before 2008 and then BOOM. His movie drops and he's a household name.
