Marvel Animation and Lionsgate continue to pump out animated movies! After Ultimate Avengers and its sequel, Rise of the Panther, the feature they released next was The Invincible Iron Man! Sadly though, this movie wasn't one of my favorites as a child.. and for good reason. Upon rewatching it, it's not very good. If anything, it's actually kinda bad, so let's talk about it!

Guy Michelmore is underrated. The guy composed pieces of music for most of Marvel's animated projects in the 2000s, and still few people know his name. He really did a great job with this movie imo.

Bro the soundtrack fucking sucks. The only the songs I like in the soundtrack is the main title and when Tony and Rhodes when they were building the armor to get out of the cave, and the end credits. It baffles me that directors and studios want this shit in their Movies or TV Shows. They don’t give a shit about the soundtracks like what the fuck happened to when old movies had good soundtracks that went with the movie?

I don’t know about invincible iron man. But I remember watching iron man armoured adventures as a kid. That show got me into iron man. The theme song alone made it worth while. I remember watching this list on watch mojo for the worst animated superhero shows, and armoured adventures was about 4 or 5. The idea to animate all the action scenes in that horrid CG style was baffling to me. The 2D looked great.
Is it just me or did the animators make Rhodey’s skin tone so light that it’s sometimes hard to tell at a glance who was Tony or Rhodey? Like at a glance @10:53 when both are in the same scene they nearly look like siblings lol
@DavidMartinez-ce3lp

They have similar hair style as well, and dress very similar.
11:57 It may look crappy but I kind of like the 3D models because it makes the suits look more practical and mechanical. I think with a little more time it could have looked amazing
Yesterday, I just found this movie in a dvd when cleaning my old stuffs in a box that I haven't open since 8-9 years ago. And today I saw this video on my recommendations talking about a movie I haven't looked at until yesterday, damn that coincidence.
Fun fact: Thor animated movie and Hulk vs Wolverine and Thor are in the same universe as Wolverine and The X-Men and Earth Mightiest Heroes Avengers
Idk why but I still enjoy this movie even if it's not perfect. The plot is a little rushed in places but I do like the animation (when it's not 3D) and the characters were done well all things considered. I think the only big flaw with the film is how they made Tony the Iron Man from the start, which really took some of the dramatic weight away from the story. Overall, not bad but still more fun than a lot of current Marvel films today lol.

Marc Worden is also my favorite voice for Tony Stark.
I loved this movie as a kid I still enjoy it mainly because of the amazing music it really saves this movie for me.
I remember watching this movie a bunch as a kid. Honestly, still love the unique, jagged look of the 3d models and the variety of suits and environments. Feels like too many iron iterations after this just default to the same red and gold color scheme without trying out some of the wackier suits.
I watched this as a kid not knowing who iron man was and always stopped halfway through because the CGI enemies gave me nightmares
Rewatching this film my biggest issue was the suits he had it before the accident which seemed rather odd to me but this movie still holds a special place in my heart as it was my official introduction to Iron Man and gave us an Iconic Iron Man theme that I hope is reused again in the neat future.
I'll give this movie credit that it introduced me to the character as a kid and got me excited for the live action film
i watched this movie again like a month ago on youtube and i couldn't stop thinking about the cg and animation, imo i didn't think the 2d animation was that awful but the cg was... the elementals motionlessly flying into the sky made me laugh harder then it should've.
I remember watching this when I was a kid. I even remember Li Mei having a short cameo in the Dr. Strange Sorcerer Supreme movie. Whatever anyone's opinion on this movie, I will say this; this was by far a better Mandarin than what we got in the MCU (and I mean in both Iron Man and Shang Chi) The Mandarin honestly felt like a threat in the movie, even though he didn't appear until the end. He's supposed to be what Iron Man isn't; while Iron Man is about technology and represents the advancement into the future and sharing this gift with the world, the Mandarin relied on sorcery and wanted to hoard the power for himself, much as rulers tended to do so long ago. Future vs past, technology vs sorcery, knight vs dragon. That's how I've always viewed the Mandarin to be.

The fact that Tony already has Iron Man suits in this movie has an upside to it. Less so because of Tony's arc and more so for believability. If he had already made a staggering quantity of suits at this point, then it is entirely believable that he would have a template for construction down that he can replicate with scraps in a matter of weeks or days.

I almost forgot this movie even existed!
Dang Ive been waiting for someone to talk about this old movie
Yeahhh...I definitely much preferred the 90's animated show to this film. (Armored Adventures was also pretty cool around the same time as the live action movies, it was wayy different but I was maybe like seven and had already seen *three* different versions of a comic accurate Iron Man by 2010 after 2008, at least in terms of the classic origin, so a Teen Tony Stark was something I didn't mind, kept it fresh).
This kinda sounds like a bad movie version of Ironman Armored Adventures Season 1 that focuses on an adult Tony instead of a teen Tony, Tony is already Ironman when he’s kidnapped by a group connected to the Mandarin, Howard Stark is still alive while Tony’s mother is dead, the Mandarin only has five rings, Tony isn’t an arrogant jerk at first and immediately wants to help people without weapons and with the Ironman suit, but Armored Adventures used all of that well but this just sounds like it barely tried so it’s like the team behind Armored Adventures looked at this movie and said “okay, let’s do that, but much better” Also why did they have Tony use the “Mark 1” in the final battle? Was he unable to use the red and gold suit? Another better thing for something related to Ironman since the game Ironman VR had Tony use the MK 1 in the final mission/boss as well but that made sense because Gunsmith (Tony’s first AI before Friday (cause I guess ever sense Age of Ultron Jarvis has just been nonexistent or something)) could take control of Tony’s tech and use the Impulse suit against him so Tony had to use something that Gunsmith couldn’t control so he got the MK 1 from the cave, fixed it up, and made the right upgrades, that all made sense but why did he use that suit for the final battle here like I actually wanna know
I still really fuck with the aesthetic and art direction of the movie. The animation may not have aged the best but the overall style is fire.
I liked the Invincible Iron Man film. It was set in the same universe as Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme. And the alternate opening sequence was incredible. It also showed Tony Stark being more innovative than depicting him as a weapons designer; he was building suits of armor and raising a city from underground. If we see a live-action version of this film in the MCU, I’ll pay to see it.
The elemental demons of this movie have so sick designs to me, independently of the quality of the movie.
This film is alright, wish we had more of the classic Red and Gold armor, since they advertised that suit so much, I mean it’s even in the poster, yet it only appeared for like 1 fight scene. I will say tho that the soundtrack is absolutely fire! I loved how it even became the main theme for Iron Man for awhile, they even got the same guy to do the soundtrack for Armored Adventures too and I love it! I’m not exactly sure why they decided to have Tony already being Iron Man but alright. Also I found it weird how the the Iron Man armors were giant Armors instead of it being a suit of Armor. Idk that might be just me
Idk why or how I didn’t get this earlier but I got recommended return to zootopia and after watching that movie I got hooked to this channel

I think it’s great, this is what iron man 3 should’ve been him using all the suits, becoming a sci-fi fantasy political thriller that Tony gets bankrupt and wrongfully framed. Not it may not be the RDJ comedy light hearted MCU movie you “comic book fans” expect it to be but this, IMO, it’s what should’ve Iron Man 3 should’ve been. Slow, letting the story breath is not a bad thing and to be granted the CGI wasn’t there and there ARE FAR WORST movie with terrible CGI
