I genuinely hope there's something funny and lasting either set in stone or otherwise. Comedians are humans after all and they are family to someone, but I think we all think of spike milligans grave when a comic dies and kinda hope there's a final gag. Rip Sean you've been amazing

One of the few comedians who sincerely made me laugh out loud. As cliche and sappy as it sounds the world of comedy has lost one of its funniest citizens. I was always so happy to see him on the QI panel. R.I.P Sean Lock you funny git.

@Toni M I agree. When I watch clips I still can't get my head around the fact he is dead. I rarely feel anything when a celebrity passes away unless I like that person. It's almost like my brain is saying "no, he can't be dead, he is not the type to die". I'm glad people in the states appreciate him. My favourite comedian of all time is american, Mitch Hedberg, and his death upset me too. Sean Lock was hilarious and a thoroughly decent bloke.

I agree. I think because he seemed so "normal" for lack of a better word it would be easy to overlook just how quick and unique his mind actually was. I love comedians who have truly unique ways of looking at life and at any given situation. Which is why I love comedians like Mitch Hedberg and Patrice O'Neal. Sean Lock was in that same bracket in my opinion. Sadly all three are now gone and died way too young.

What's interesting is that Harry Hill said, in his tribute to Sean, that he couldn't work out why some nights he killed it and other nights he was flat, and Sean told him he needed to stop messing about before he went on stage and take it seriously (I'm paraphrasing, but) and that's pretty much what Mark Lamarr had told Sean. John Cleese maintains that Peter Cook was the only one he knew (as a young man) who could write a sketch in real time. Chris Morris, however (who many consider to be his satirical heir) seems to be comparatively slow, and waits for an idea to 'bite him on the bum'! In truth I think they were doing different things, bigger projects need more scope.

Sean’s death really is a great loss to British comedy. He was a funny funny man and didn’t even have to try. Sharp wit and visually very funny. Few like him.

I kind of hope his gravestone says "Noooooooooo Whyyyyyyy Nooooo Ahhhhhhhh", but I'm not sure if that would be tasteless in the long run.

Sean Lock wrote and starred in his own Sit-Com called 15 Stories High. It really shows off some of his genius. It's hugly underwatched. I have all episodes on my channel in a playlist. You should watch them. I make no money or gain anything from you doing so. I just uploaded them so I could share a hidden gem of a show with those who missed it.

"Sean was classless" I dunno about that.. I'd say he was VERY working class, in a good way.
