Met Sean once years back. Having a pint with Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse. Sean was the alpha in the group. Exactly as he is on panel shows. It was no act , it was him.

Ricky had only just found success when this was filmed, a house like that would have looked like a mansion to him growing up and that's what he was channeling. The whole point of the Office is that it illustrates the bleakness of life for ordinary working class and middle class people in Britain especially. David Brent has "made it" so to speak, he's the manager of a successful company and owns a nice house, his position in life is actually on the higher end of what most working class people can aspire to. But at the end of the day he's still a cog in the wheel and his prize is a fancy house that really isn't that fancy in the middle of a concrete jungle. Of course to Brent it really is a mansion because in his own head he really is a rockstar, a comedian, a poet, someone of importance. If you still don't get it then fair enough.

Sean Lock was so successful because he was so unique. There are comedians who tell funny stories to make you laugh but Sean was in that club, a club that contained the likes of Eric Morcambe, Tommy Cooper, Rick Mayal etc etc. They could make you laugh without them even having to open their mouths. Pure comedy genius who deserves being remembered for ever.

I loved 15 storeys high. The one with the energy drinks enters my head often and makes me laugh, and the scene with the guy who kept trying to get into a draw, gave me actual tears and stomach from laughing. You were truly my favorite Sean. You reminded me of my dad. That brain and humour honestly got me through some of my hardest times ❤ thank you

Such a devastating loss. For me, 15 Stories High is up among the greatest British sitcoms! Why isn't it widely available? Such a travesty. Lock and Benedict Wong are simply magnificent. I'm smiling now, just remembering their delightfully weird relationship... Mark Lamarr is an icon, too. As sharp and insightful as he is funny.
