    About 2015 I saw Sean with his family in a restaurant in Brighton. I looked and he pointed at me and mouthed "fuck off". Best encounter ever.

    I think he really cared about his family and didn’t want his job to affect their lives and privacy. He really didn’t let fame change his lifestyle. And I can respect him so much for that, what he wanted to do was entertain and fame was an unwanted side effect.

    When an actor or comedian dies I usually avoid their stuff for awhile because of sadness, but I’ve been bingeing Sean Lock’s stuff for days on end

    Lots of people feeling that way. It's a combination of his exceptional skill and humanity, his comedic brilliance and the difficult time we are in right now, where anyone who can make us laugh is very welcome. The fact this man is a comedians comedian makes it particularly salient. He touched a lot of people.

    Hearing Sean talk about the cancer is incredibly sad. I wish he was around to hear all the nice things being said about him. His family must be shattered. I wish them peace

    Same man, got to 4:10, felt meh, scrolled down immediately to get some solace in that I'm not alone in finding it incredibly sad hearing him talk about this. One of my life's best people whom I adored with all my heart.

    Life is so unfair. He survived one form of cancer only to get another one. But everyone remember to CHECK YOURSELF and go to the doctor if you notice anything weird.

    Agree. So little pretence. He seemed like such a lovely guy who knew how lucky he was to do what made him happy. A lot of comics are tortured. I dont get that with Sean

    Yeah, he always seemed like such a regular bloke, who was just insanely good at making jokes about the ordinary and the mundane and twisting them into utter absurdity. Other comedians told you stories, but Sean took you on a journey through whatever brilliant strangeness was dwelling within his head that day. I'm gonna miss him so much.

    Actually, read was skin cancer, contracted young working in construction and thought conquered, but came back and did the trick. I am so sad. As are so many. The world is so much poorer with the loss of this genius comedian.

    I did not personally know Sean. His comedy was always relatable, and he had a personality that seemed to draw you in on a more personal level with his presence. Thank you for being the human you were in life. Thank you for enriching our lives by sharing your amazing talents with the rest of us “morons”.

    Sean Lock was my go to when things were getting too much for me (like for many others as I've read in many comments sections and posts about him). Reading the comments and seeing just how loved he was by everyone really cements the person he was to people he didn't even know. I hope his family are able to see the sheer amount of beautiful words being said about him.

    Until about 2 months ago I had never heard of Sean, but I had become a fan of Jimmy. I suppose that's why YT eventually started recommending 8 out of 10 videos and others with Sean. He quickly became one of my favorites, so it was with shock that I heard of his passing. I had no idea he was even sick. RIP, sir.

    Same deal. I thought I knew all the big comedians. But it was YT recommending 8 out of 10 cats. Then it was like "why haven’t I heard of this bloke". And the binge watch was on. Couldn’t believe I’d missed him (I’m from Oz), but that’s no excuse. Because my Mums a pom. When I told her of his death, she couldn’t believe I’d missed him. But I will make it my duty to watch every show, comedy specials that he has ever done.

    It’s got to be almost 2 months since he died and a man I had never met and a man who never knew I existed is someone I still mourn for. I feel guilty that I even have the right to mourn him and feel awful for his family. But I suppose it must the some solace in knowing how loved Sean was. Celebrities die often but so many times I’ve heard something I couldnt agree more with. When hearing the news of Sean’s death we all genuinely felt it, not just hearing the news and thinking “oh that sucks” but we felt a genuine loss for the country.

    Great comic, he really helped me over the last 3 year's, same as Charlie Watts, comedy and music has helped me deal with being a live in career with my dad, was my mum as well, however cancer, you know the rest, Sean was a one off, cheers mate, greetings from Ireland and sun tan lotion is still a macho problem

    Not an easy thing, being a live in carer. Family can make it both harder & yet more rewarding sometimes. Other times you may want to kill them. Or vice versa. Did it briefly, cancer etc. Here's to you & all family carers, especially kids.

" ...God, is he an incredible comedian...Thanks to the Internet, I can watch him on Countdown for Cats , or his stand up routines...he never ceases to amaze...so at ease with himself, but like all great comedians...he has a way of making nearly anything hilariously funny when he talks about it

    I'm so sad he's gone. One of the few celebrity deaths that touched me. Characters like Sean Locke are bright lights in this world and when they blink out, it makes the world seem worse off. I'm so glad I have all these clips on KZread. He never fails to make me laugh.

    I just stumbled upon the brittish comedy group from 8-10 cats to all the shows but the one person that was the real comedian the normal everyday neighbor but would make you cry from laughter was Sean !!! very very sad to finally find a comedic genius and to hear of his passing literally weeks later ... one of the best things he said was when he told the guy he wouldn't use spit when they were going to have sex that night lol everyone in the studio started crying from laughter .... RIP SEAN

    That was me, a year ago. Discovering the 8-10 cats group and going from there. As some one mentioned previously, not only was he an incredible comedian but, he didn’t suffer fools. There’s always been something special about Sean. Incredibly sad news to hear of his passing. Hope the family can find peace in these difficult times. 💜🖤

    RIP i know so fleeting sketches and an odd show or two... he was really an overarching gentleman it seemed.. sound man. Looking forward to keeping him going with watching more of him, sadly nudged by his passing. He took comedy forward that's for sure and he deserves his share of credit. RIP.
