This is a news segment from WNBC-TV sometime in 1992 which focuses on Marilyn Monroe’s years in New York in the mid-1950s. There are two interviewees: John Springer, a renowned publicist, and James Haspiel, who met Monroe in New York as a 16-year-old fan and developed a friendship with her. Several of his photos are shown, as well as clips from THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH and SOME LIKE IT HOT. Veteran NBC newsman Gabe Pressman is seen in a clip from 1954 asking Monroe about Arthur Miller.
