Breakdown by Mariah would be an amazing song to listen to if you’re into the rapping/fast singing that she does. She loves to match the flow of her features and she does it so incredibly on this song ❤

So there actually HAS been times Mariah has either rapped in a song or sung in a rap kind of style with a flow. A few examples of this are -Prisoner (song from her debut album 1990 where she straight up RAPPED) -Breakdown (from 1997 Butterfly album, it’s a collab with hip hop group Bone Thugs and Harmony) -Don’t forget about us (from 2005 emancipation of Mimi deluxe edition, but she only has a rap like flow in the bridge) -Babydoll (Butterfly 1997 album, the whole songs got a flow to it and is hip hop) -Long ago (Daydream album 1995, hip hop song) -Honey (lead single from Butterfly 1997 album and the remix is better cuz it’s more hip hop and it’s a collab with rap artists) ..so there’s obv way more but these r just a few recommendations, it’s mostly her Butterfly (1997) and Emancipation of Mimi (2005) albums that are more hip hop oriented, I rlly recommend u start off with Breakdown because it’s a personal fave of mine!!❤ btw I’m the person u shouted out at the beginning for this recommendation.

If ur impressed by her whistle notes u HAVEEE to react to a compilation video of her whistle notes called “Mariah Carey- Best live high notes/whistles” it’s by a KZread channel called “Songbird Supreme” so u know EXACTLY which video. They’re ALL live and CRAZY whistle notes, most of her absolute BEST. There’s only a few poor quality clips in the video but don’t skip them cuz they’re ALL worth it, TRUST me, the video is a bit over 10 minutes long but u HAVE to watch it at least in ur own time if u rlly don’t wanna make a reaction video to it, and you’ll see from that video WHY she’s called the Queen of Whistle register❤
