This night Kelly Clarkson performed Because of you at her best, Madonna opened the show but Mariah simply destroyed them with this performance. She was of course robbed of her Grammy's this night. When U2 won record of the year for "How to dismantle an Atomic bom" Bono stood on stage and said "Mariah, you sing like an angel, really something else". I like to think that right before the choir emerges she closes her yes and says "Dear Lord, be ready because I'm about to transport this whole crowd to your presence" please react to I want to know what love is 2010 love UK X Factor its amazing how she worked that song.

Anyways she has been nominated over 30 times and she has received only 1 award on TV for best new artist and because the Recording Academy needed to clean their name after giving their last year's best New artist award to a duo of fake singers that were a huge scandal. She was even bumped off for Grammy's 2019 for Album of the year, apparently she was the 5th runner up however the 16th runner up had a better connection and she doesn't eat mud pie with them she doesn't have "the connection" that's what their ex CEO said

Was this the 2006 Grammys? I remember that and yes she was completely robbed!!!

When everyone counts Mariah out she comes back with a performance like this! Iconic.

She made this song a testament that no one could equal her. Even other singers can do it, ITS HER SOULFUL BELTING THAT THEY CANNOT EQUAL! THE EMOTIONS! other singers only do it to show off, but no soul.

@@honestperson3042 I never said she compared lol. Mariah is my favorite vocalist ever and I’ve gone through her entire discography. I’m so confident that she’s the best singer ever that I don’t need to put down other singers to lift her up. I know all of her abilities and the small details so you haven’t presented anything new to me haha. Mariah would be proud of Morrissete’s cover because she’s the only one that did Mariah justice w/ her cover. And being that Mariah was Mori’s main influence to sing, I thought maybe some other Lambs would appreciate hearing her version of it. You don’t have to look at every comparison as a threat to MC. Look at it like, wow my favorite singer influenced this many people I bet she’s proud of her impact. Morissette is probably the best vocalist of her generation and it isn’t close. It's like saying a gymnast who is the best all around and won more gold metal than most isn't the greatest because there is someone is might be better at the uneven bars or the floor exercise. For example miss Whitney might excel in other areas and she's also one of the greatest but the true GOAT is miss Mariah Carey

I think this is one of the best performance of all time from any artist. This is crazy. Not only the oustandings vocals and stafe presence, but the moment that it represented in the music industry. It’s not something reproduceble.

Her voice is a gift from God and when she sing to the Lord, we can feel his grace
