the first song is we belong together, it stayed at #1 for 14 weeks. Her song shake it off was #2 because we belong together is blocking it for the #1 spot, only her can do that. We belong together is also her 2nd of the decade after her one sweet day song which is her 1st song the decade and it topped the charts at #1 for 16 weeks in 1996. You can check out her discography. I can also suggest her Stevie Wonder tribute of the song you and I, which showcase her lower register. Vocal agility, I can suggest her Patti LaBelle tribute of if only you knew/somewhere over the rainbow song. Although both of them popularized the whistle register, none of them are the original whistlers. You guys are forgetting that opera singers existed and still exist.

And this not her prime era. Mariah Carey is a master vocalist, she writes and produces her music to her skill that's why is so difficult for other people to cover her songs and also she has a very distinctive voice that you can't easily hear another voice with her song and not feel something is not right. We belong together is probably one of her most successful songs in her career and it marked her career as a second coming for the vocal beast she is. There's no real way to make Fly like a bird an easier song. She wrote it to be that a monster song, unsinkable and it was a show of thanks to God for her talent and success throughout her career, at the end of Fly like a bird she went from upper chest, to head voice, super head voice and then said "higher Jesus" in whistle register. She may be considered the best whistler in the music industry.

Ariana grande has an awesome voice and attracts millions in what she does! But there is no authenticity or creativity. Where as with my favorite singer! Mariah :) she is the real deal all in one. Writes, produces and is dynamic

yes!!! you might get the notes but you don’t have the agility or you might have the tone and agility but the notes aren’t stable or consistent for a mariah carey song. this is why she is considered a legend and the queen ✨🦋

The things she could do so effortlessly was just amazing. For me one of her best live clips on youtube is a rehearsal clip from Saturday Night Live of her singing the song Vanishing.
