+Goddess Collection I think it is as beautiful as her collaborations with Walter Afanasieff. I don't understand why this song did not get the promotion / highlight that it deserves, considering it feels mainstream, and Mariah's vocals are magnificent on it. It also has that turn of the century sound, like that of a late 90's-early 2000's pop song, which was very current at that time.

+Goddess Collection Personally, I think this would do well today, or maybe it's that I miss songs like this, uplifting, romantic, sentimental, potentially timeless. I mean, just listen to that message; it's so beautiful. The deliverer expresses appreciation, love, and gratitude, the receiver has given love and is getting it in return.

This is one of Mariah Carey's best songs. I've been saying ever since TEOM that she should release a song in this vein. I truly think that it would put her at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. A song like this with a STUNNING melody that shows her sentimentality, her songwriting, her unbelievable singing ability and vocal versatility... There would be no way it wouldn't go #1. The public would not be able to deny it.

Unfortunately, songs like this go hidden because all the media wants is music videos filled with lustful acts and usually the songs have no lyrical sense. In addition, it seems as if music is popular based on how good the video is. Besides that, it depends on beat now. So many songs are filled with horrible messages and a lot of cursing. It's now normal for a song to have the words "f*ck,b!tch,@ss" and etc. The only song that really has been touching so far is probably "Hello" by Adele.

This single came with my Glitter Album. This is the deepest song Mariah has ever sung in my opinion. Everytime I hear it I cry, I cry so hard. The Glitter album was vocally near flawless. Daydream was good but Glitter showcased her ability to belt, shift between registers, use her range to instrumentation and the extent of her breath control. Glitter, Emotions and Rainbow has some of her best vocals.

I love this song so much. It sounds like it was recorded between 1993-1996. This song proves that Mariah never lost her voice after 1997. It kinda made me made mad that they didn't put this on rainbow. It would of been the "Whenever You Call" or the power ballad of the album.
