Mariah's Glitter era/tracks are so incredibly wrongfully underrated. If you actually listen to all the songs on the album they are absolute masterpieces. If it wasn't so associated with the (also underrated) movie then I think it would've been a successful album

Dan O'Connor It was a successful album. Lover boy was #2 on billboard and the album sold 3million copies. It didn't do typical Mariah numbers but it was still really successful...

this song is one of my fave songs of Mariah's it's absolutely breathtaking her voice is perfection.

Also, her voice was the best for me in this era. 1990-1993 was so very powerful and 1994-1996 was just perfection and silkiness...but for some reason Glitter/Charmbracelet vocals are the best for me....they're so interesting and dynamic and strong but pretty all in one

I think she’s talking about the love she discovered within herself. This song to me resonates because it’s the best feeling after all of these to realize the love you are searching for is within yourself.

This song is so buttery smooth like a warm bubble bath, so signature Mariah, love her soul.

This was the B-side track on her medley Never too far/hero released 2001 as a charity single in light of 9/11 - all proceeds from the sales went to the heroes fund.

I love that this song describes how I feel about Mariah and her music ever since I was a child in the early 90s. Always there for me when no one else was lol. Her music has been in my life longer than anyone I know. 😭
