+CorineNation *Sigh*. NO. Tevin NEVER came out the Closet. Don't make things up.(He came out as Bi in Sister2Sister Magazine back in 2003.) What happened to his career is that during 1996-1999 Qwest released 2 more new LPs that underpeformed and sold dismally due to lack of promotion and poor imagining by Qwest. Qwest itself sucked and promoted ALL Artists like Tamia poorly. Tevin wasn't the only one. And so, after "Back To The World" only managed to go gold and his Self Titled 1999 CD flopped(adding insult to injury was his July 1999 Arrest in Van Nuys in a Undercover Sting at a Elementary School Parking Lot for trying to buy Drugs and solicit a Transvestite Prostitute who was actually an Undercover Officer) , Tevin left the label, and decided to take a long break from Recording. Qwest Records filed for bankruptcy in June of 2000, and in February 2001, closed their doors after fling Chapter 7.

The "choir" is Mariah and a few backup singers. She and those backing singers recording the backing vocals and I suppose the term would be, stacked their voices so it could sound like a choir.

am I the only person who thinks this is one of her best songs ever and should have been huge? Cause this is like a spiritual song.

Probably my favorite vocals ever recorded are on this song. That voice truly feels like a friend that's trying to uplift you. It's impossible to hold back tears of joy and emotion when listening to this masterpiece. It's really her best song.

Mariah is as powerful as a storm ... and cute as a kitten.

Madonna's "Like a Prayer", Gloria Estefan's "Coming Out of the Dark", Rick Astley's "Cry for Help" and this song wouldn't be the same without the amazing Gospel choruses.

***** In my opinion, Mariah is Mariah thanks to her powerful pop ballads. She began destroying her career when she began singing Rr&B, Hip hop and songs featuring rappers. Now ther'es nothing left but the memoroes of her iconic ballads. The other songs are simply forgetable tunes that have not stood the test of time and no one cares about.

I'm so glad I was a teen in the 90's. We had real singers with powerful vocal ranges and atmospheric music videos. The early 90's was a fun time to be alive in. God ,what happened to music!?? How did we come from this to Cardi B and Lil Nas? Imo the 90's was the last great decade.

This song has brought some nice resonate memories with that side of the family, and feel encouraged to reconnect with my family and community. I just thank God for her songs and most beautiful voice. This song also made things easier for me to make it home alive. The sound of that choir is a gift from God.

I LOVE old Mariah! And, was very lucky to have worked in this video as a kid :) I was the principle child in this music video: you can see me starting at 1:14 and then throughout. That was one of my favorite modeling moments of ALL time. Pray Mariah makes music like this again!
