She is so confident in her voice in her early years, she knows that it will always come out the way she wanted it to be even if she doesn’t think of it much (technicalities and all). It’s sad that her nodules today are getting more worse, she always need to rest long so that her voice will be fine. Even if mariah is confident today, some times her nodules are not going along.

I kinda start to believe that Mariah Carey was a child prodigy in the field of music back then when she was young. Imagine being able to distinguish notes and sing opera at a young age, let alone write a song and master all the vocal skills by the age of 19. She just wasn't exposed to a group of people aside from her mother who helped her nurture the gift more, though Pat did enough for Mariah's voice to perfection. Damn, this woman was overlooked but I am beyond glad she reached the superstardom she truly deserves.

This song helped me get over losing my mom, and my father being abusive… i fought back and I got away. These lyrics hit so close to home. I had no idea how I was going to make it at 14. I didn’t even want to be here passed the minute she passed. I knew my life would change. My father ripped up my Mariah posters a long with Toni Braxton and bone thugs…. Just because I loved them. So many times I felt like giving up not seeing a sunny day… I wanted to go to this concert so bad. Music saved my life. Thank you Mariah and BTNH.

This song really uplifts my soul. Such an inspirational song from the QUEEN.

I was homeless and didn’t have a job and was staying in a shelter and I held on to my faith and always stayed focused and positive .. I had the people at the shelter telling me that the job i had already applied for wasn’t coming through but I kept pressing and praying and I got my job and a home at the same time! God may not come when you want him but he’s always on time! I’ve been at my employment for three years now and couldn’t be happier.

Everyone on this post needs to learn how to state opinions without bashing the other persons. My opinion is Mariah over everyone, then Whitney. Christina is vocally up there with them contrary to what some ppl think. Celine as far as technicality, but not vocal range. Whoever said Christina is not as good as Beyonce is sadly mistaken. You should be saying Beyonce is not as good as Christina. Christina can sing Whitney's music, Mariahs music, and slay genres. I love voices and I am not the biggest Christina fan, but give credit where credit is due. Beyonce cannot touch Christina. I'm sorry.

This performance is absolutely out of this world! It has to go down as one of the most impressive performances by any vocalist of all time. I watched the undubbed version and literally sat back in awe as she captured every single note from low to high as easy as if she were speaking to someone. The iconic “I see you up there” moment is absolutely astonishing. She halts her vocal acrobatics for a few seconds and jumps right back into it without any effort. What incredible talent! I feel like people don’t truly appreciate her gift, but I know I do.

She is also a multitasker becuz: she sang, she took the flowers, she walked with beat. Awesomeeeee
