This song should’ve been way bigger than it was. When I listen to this song in 2023 it still gives me motivation and chills.

Probably the most powerful performance of this song. 3:40 when the background singer screams “SIIING” has an amazing impact on Mariah instantly. She doesn’t care, she isn’t insecure, she’s just enjoying the moment. Wow

This is why Mariah is legendary. People think it's because of her range. It's her improvisational skills. I'm sure she didn't hit all of the expected $ notes because her voice was tired, but she is able to improvise runs and dance all around the melody that you think she sang the song differently because she just intended/wanted to. She just makes it seem like she re-mixed her own song and most people are none-the-wiser. That heiffa can sing circles around most other singers with just 1 octave --- the 1st two verses of her version of Stevie Wonder's "You & I," case and point.

She's not going to have the exact confidence as here because she's lost a lot of what she had.... looks and voice.... just like a beautiful and conceited woman, when she's young, her confidence is brimming due to the attentioin she gets but when she loses this, she has to take a bit of a back seat and let others shine Mariah today reminds me of an old woman due to how she acts and talks and sings... it's amazine her and Jlo are the same age but JLo still has it.

You can tell she was really happy and enjoying this performance! In fact, she even loses it a little when the kids start coming onstage! Haha Then her smile gets bigger and bigger, she seems to worry less about performing and just enjoys the moment! That was epic!

4:44 to 4:49 "you're gonna make it! you're gonna make it!" all with such a big sincere smile to the children in the choir, God definitely using her and her voice to help spread love and positivity. I love me some Mariah!

*She doesn't need a flawless vocals anymore. She needs CONFIDENCE and I miss Mariah with an overflowing confidence in her performances. 😭*
