Margaret Court discusses Wimbledon 2021 with Sky News
Tennis great Margaret Court has discussed this year’s Wimbledon tournament with Sky News host Alan Jones.
Ms Court is the only tennis player in history to complete a multiple Grand Slam set, which is all the Singles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles of the Australian, French, Wimbledon and US championships all in one year.
In this year’s Wimbledon women’s semi-final, Australian tennis player Ash Barty is set to go up against the German Angelique Kerber.
“It’ll be a tremendous match,” Ms Court said.
“But Ash, you know she’s got that variety in the game.
“We’re hoping that she can go through the whole way.”

All great champions have something unique that they have done. Court has 24 grand slam titles and 2 calendar grand slams. Steffi has 22 grand slams, one golden (olympic gold medal) calendar grand slam and the only woman player to achieve at least 4 of all grand slam tournaments. Martina has 18 grand slams, 9 Wimbledons and 1 "Navratilova" grand slam where she over 2 calendar years held all grand slam titles concurrently.

@@carrerau7138 I have researched her. Great player of her time but not the best ever. Imo,her greatness is diminished because of her weak competition, and her social views. Serena would demolish her.
Thank you Alan Jones for such an uncompromising interview with such a great lady. Margaret is well known for community work amongst those who also assist those who are in need with food and other daily essentials. I am also fortunate to be a volunteer with a charity that operates a Pantry Club.

Don't forget Billie Jean King also had a swipe at her with regards to her religious views which I think is between her (Margaret & her god) All those supposed 'tennis' players would do us a favour & shut their mouths as they never achieved the level of Tennis that Margaret has done & they will never be recognised for their charity work (don't think they do any) like Margaret. She is one of God's angels - helping those who are unable to cope in difficult times like right now. I love you Margaret.

Marian Breuno who was the best player in the late 50’s to the mid 60’s who won 7 gs. Then Goolagong winner of 7 gs, King winner of 12 gs, Lesley Browrey winner of 2 French Opens and the other players she defeated yes were Australians but they were all top 10 players. And for people who said that she only won 11 gs in the open era since 1968 is it margrets fault that prior to that tennis was a amateur sport but she was still playing the same players. Margret could of easily won 30 grand slam singles titles is she played in 1967, 1968 and 1972 but she had 2 children. And to think she won 11 gs titles I’m the open era as a mother including the grand slam in 1970! She also holds the record for most titles 191, best winning percentage 91% and even Evonne Goolagong who played against Court, King, Evert and Navratilova said that Court was the best player she ever played against
