What's an atheist worrying about morality and right and wrong for? We are all bacteria, star dust and pond scum. Those derived from pond scum have no moral obligation to anyone. Products of nothing don't have any duty onto others. What for? If you are from matter and pond scum why would you worry about justice and right and wrong?

Wow, so people cant have a differing opinion...and if they do, they are a second class human being. I will be honest, i voted no during the same sex question, but, whilst i have a differing opinion, i respect the out come. I have friends who are in same sex relationships, i respect their belifs as they respect me as a Christian and my world view point.

The problem with this whole discussion is it lacks nuance of time and life's complexity. Margaret Court the rather circumspect and shy tennis player was a very different person, with a very different image that barely intersected with the passionate Pastor Court of the Pentacostal church. There was a decade between these two polor opposite roles. Her public image as this young introverted but incredibly disciplined athlete was as a very positive roll model for young women which contrasted with King's very exuberant outspoken and political personality. It should be relatively easy for us discuss these careers separately but Pastor Court and those who interview her, sometimes complicate things .If you use your prior frame as a springboard to gain publicity for your sermons which touch on controversial religious and political issues, you have to expect the media will conflate the two at less opportune times as well. I am glad that Evonne feels free to publicly support her friend, and I am glad that Martina, and Billie Jean feel free to respond to her anti-gay and trans views. She can be a kind, compassionate person, and an effective pastor on one hand, and still be a homophobe who promotes the most damaging of stereotypes on the other. She sits holding the hands of dying congregrants and praying with their families, a truly healing effort, and then she hands out the business card for a conversion therapist later that week. People are not two dimensional carcatures of evil or good.

After Martina Navratilova won Wimbledon in 1990, Court said that Martina was a baad role model because she is a lesbian.

The average Black South African doesn't agree with gay marriage either: 1. It is against their culture. 2. Lots of Black South Africans are also Christians that believe the exact same thing as Margaret Court from the same Bible all translated into 9 different South African Indigenous languages.

South Africa: Australia killed over 90 percent of the Indigenous people. Apartheid ended 30 years ago. Average age of a South African: 15. Nobody cares.

People are not entitled to discriminate against others, that's why Margaret Court is disgusting. She did not support equal prize money for women tennis players. She was a great tennis player. After tennis, she has done nothing to help other people. Spouting uninformed views of people based on her false reading of the bible . There is a reason Billie Jean King has the entire US Tennis Center named after her. It is not commonly known that Billie Jean wanted the main court named after Margaret and Rod Laver, but Margaret has ruined her own legacy by her extreme vies. She is entitled to them, but there are consequences for these uninformed views.

Margaret Court has certainly pushed her views on people regarding LGBT people. It doesn't matter what she thinks, or why she thinks it, she's entitled, but I would say it is wrong to express those views as widely and loudly as she does. Doctors and psychologists know that human sexuality is diverse and people do not "choose" to be gay or lesbian; that is the way they are. I think it is a good policy just to accept people for who they are, without judging them.
