    It takes an incredible amount of restraint and character for him to take the high road like this. He risked not getting signed in order to have her by his side, then stayed home with their child while she enjoyed fame and success, and that's how she repaid him. Good for him for not allowing bitterness to make it even worse.

    Damn bro, you really don’t know how women operate do you? Dude literally introduced his hot wife to an environment where she’d be surrounded by extremely masculine & competitive men, and made it worse when he was clearly at the bottom of the hierarchy. Chris Candido made same mistake. Kevin Sullivan literally booked his own divorce with his wife & Chris Benoit. When you realize why Randy Savage was so overprotective about Elizabeth. Don’t trust your woman to make the best decisions for your relationship.

    @@ThorMaximus But then Savage gets remembered as a psychotic and insecure asshole by the masses. Despite the truths about how this game goes. Ultimately, the key is to bring the girl you're interested in around the biggest temptations early on before you invest heavily to see how she acts. Mero was a product of WCW's training program. He literally only knew how to be Johnny B. Badd. WCW was smart. They weren't going to invest in a guy and make him a star only to Vince lure him away. So they only showed him how to be the guy they wanted him to be. He had no idea how to be the Wildman up in New York. You can tell in his matches and promos he was lost.

  • @Matt-cr4vv

    @Matt-cr4vv

    5 ай бұрын

    I’ve also heard Bruce and JR both mention that Vince loved the Johnny B Badd character for whatever reason and that’s a lot of why he was catering to him. And he lost a lot of his interest once he accepted that he couldn’t really use that character because that was most all of What he liked mero for. And then when he met sable the focus was on keeping her around and doing enough with Marc to have both of them happy. But at the end you can see that as time went on they kept Marc on to keep Sable because once she brought her lawsuit and wanted to leave they fought against her exiting her deal but told Marc he was free to go. But at the same time I also get why Marc was so disliked and expendable. He came in from jump with some negativity when he comes in with a signing bonus and guaranteed contract at a time where nobody else was getting that and it was so uncommon in the WWF that he got his deal months before Vince let Hall and Nash go to WCW because he didn’t want to do guarantees and set that as the new normal and was so committed to not doing those deals that he let major names walk over giving a guarantee so the rest of the roster knowing that instantly going to be an issue. And then it’s even worse with how disliked Sable was but then kinda consider that he wasn’t involved in anything major so it probably at least came across that he was still kept around, while earning a nice guarantee for the time period, because they had to so they wouldn’t lose her. So you have a dude you’re already jealous of because of what he has that you don’t and then as time goes on his wife is extremely unpopular and entitled and he’s still around on a nice contract more than likely just so they can keep this lady you all dislike with the company. And then he also became the one driving the deals to cash in on the opportunities like playboy and motivated her lawsuit and so on. Marc seems like a solid guy but the moves he made during that time essentially guaranteed issues with the roster for each one and he doomed himself.

    It's so odd to me sometimes that she went from a guy like Marc who has always come off as outgoing, a little boisterous at times, probably more of a city type person, to Brock who is an unapologetic introverted country boy. Sometimes I think she saw the level Brock was at and where he was going, but she stood by him with all the crap that happened after he initially left WWE.

  • @Matt-cr4vv

    That as a theory could make sense, at least from the start when they first began their relationship, but in hindsight and seeing how long they’ve been together now and have kids and such so there was something genuine there clearly. And she didn’t falter during some of the challenging times like his exit from the WWE and the years between leaving the company and beginning his time with the UFC and worked through some challenges considering the court fight when WWE was blocking him from places like NJPW or the UFC and then the disagreement when he considered returning to the WWE but his ask wasn’t even considered by the company at the time. Then considering his years where he was aick and the like. But I also think the public Brock we all see isn’t the Brock she interacts with. He’s done stuff like butchering meat with his business partners and didn’t pat macabre show where he was comfortable and opened up and the dude was hilarious. It was a polar opposite of the public persona he’s always had but when he was comfortable to just be himself he was super cool and was genuinely reality funny and so always gotta remember that the dude she’s married to is entirely different so it makes sense that they may jive and we just don’t see that interaction. It’s not the same extreme but my wife in the general public she is extremely quiet and comes across super shy but when it’s just the two of us she’s extremely talkative and cracks jokes and calls people on their shit and so on. Essentially opposite of how she interacts and comes across in a large group public setting because she’s comfortable around me to just be herself and I tend to think it’s the same with Brock and probably with her as well and so from the outside it seems like a surprising fit but in a home life scenario their comfortable selves may have a strong vibe.

Men refuse to understand female nature and fight you when trying to explain it. So they need to learn the hard way. Marc is a prime example saying that he wouldn't change it if he did it again and being passive 🙄. I can't stand weak men.

    He sounds like one of the few legitimately good dudes in wrestling. Wild to want to get married so many times,but I'm glad hes doing well.

    We're getting it from himself as a source, of course. so some doubt may be well advised, but still, if what he describes is true, Mero was a great partner, which became clear was a rarity for wrestlers at the time. And anyone who knows the stories from those days knows how little regard most wrestlers had for their alleged loved ones when they were on the road. In Mero's case, the relationship didn't end well, but most relationships aren't meant to last. He sounds like a good guy, and he kept his spirit up, as he should. The wrestling business is different nowadays, I'd like to think that's reflected in the relationships you see. It's all much more like regular life now, much less like a the fraternity/sorority reality TV show it appeared to be back in the day
