I am in the middle of refinishing the cabinets on my KLH 23's. They are real walnut veneer. Sanded them down and repaired some of the corners and edges with small pieces of new veneer. Very painstaking work. Gonna oil them up pretty soon. They won't be perfect but will look a lot better. Already sealed the cloth surrounds and replaced the caps.

I've completed a few re-veneer jobs and a few speaker re-caps. Speakers are NOT my favorite thing to do :) Good luck getting the KLH 23s restored!
