In Thailand, Manny was the Flyweight champion, he lost to Medgoen Singsurat. There, he became addicted to drugs. Upon further research... I looked at the Pacquiao movie (you can watch in the link below) the movie was pretty bad, over the top acting, the actor who played Manny was always crying, and actor who played Freddie Roach was overweight and looked nothing like him. The movie does show Manny battling with drug abuse, having a child out of wedlock and his wife Jinkee confronting him about it, while Manny tries to lie it off. After watching Pacquiao: The Movie, you really feel bad for his wife Jinkee, no woman should have to put up with a husband lying and cheating on her like that. But the media for the most part covers it up for him while they villanize Floyd Mayweather for any little thing.
I heard from other Filipinos that Manny was indeed using drugs back in the day, something called Shabu or Methamphetamine so Roger Mayweather's assumption that Pacquiao could be on A-side meth could have stemmed from a Filipino telling him about Pacquiao: The Movie. If this was not true, why would Manny Pacquiao produce or have his name associated with a movie that mentions him taking drugs? Manny gave the green light and even attended the movie premiere with his trainer Freddie Roach. Theyve been actively trying to pull that movie and promote the new one produced this year.
How come the media bashes Floyd Mayweather and his family for requesting Manny Pacquiao to take random drug tests during training camp when Manny has a history of drug use in the past? I think after finding out about this part of Manny's life it will wake up a lot of uninformed people and further justify Floyd's demands of Olympic Style Drug Testing.
If any other athlete refused to take random drug tests with no cut-off date, they would look guilty or suspicious but not Manny Pacquiao, he can reject Olympic Drug Testing an instead of attacking him, the media attacks Floyd Mayweather Jr?
What Mayweather is requesting is nothing out of the ordinary, and many employers will ask their employees to take drug tests. This should have never been an issue in the first place, maybe now more people can see Floyd Mayweather's side and not feed into the biased mainstream media's love of Manny Pacquiao.
