Hahaha. No boxer is not guilty of practicing risk vs reward management. Pacquiao intentionally move up to 147 to avoid the competition at 135. And who can blame him. It's better to take risks with high rewards at higher weights than take risks with no reward at lower weights.

I used to string my youngsters (half-Filipino) along -- to our Mexican neighbors, to crowded Filipino groups, any invitation to watch the fights on TV. Man, they were the best, loudest and most nerve-wracking parties we ever went. I used to tell my kids they were related to Pacquiao -- anyone mess with them in school, they've got it coming.

So exciting and fun to watch when Manny is in the ring.

This just shows what a beast Pacquiao is! he should be MP “Monster Pacquiao”

Fun fact: Pacquiao already figured out Cotto's game in the first rounds, he can knock him out but chose not to. His coach Freddie Roach keeps telling him to knock him out but he doesn't want to hurt the guy, he's too nice to do such class act. Cotto's wife and kids were watching in the stands. True story.

21:17 Cotto won the respect of Filipinos with that gesture of sportsmanship. He's one of the few Pacquiao opponents who didn't end up with a bad rap after their fight. He'll always be welcome in the Philippines.

Commentator was paid, but the crowds chant and shouting is different, until the comentator realized that it was one sided

Two things people underrate about Pac-man: He has one HELL of a chin. Even the big punchers didn't KO him with one punch. (Okay, there was that ONE knockout but, that was a timing thing and a perfect punch. He's not from the planet Krypton.) The second thing is he is VERY smart. If he loses the first round often, it's because he's gathering data: How hard can this guy hit? What's his range? his rhythm? What angles is he using? Which way does he move and turn? With that info processed in his head, he adapts. Oftentimes Freddy helps. The point is, he might be a slow starter but, he catches on fast and he's a fast finisher. They said it well. He stands on the Pantheon of champions of all time.

Nahh. The first few rounds are crucial. He ain't playing, that's where he's the most serious cuz he got to study the moves. First 3 rounds are angle wars between them.
