He absolutely does not. Maybe you can make a case for the one judge scoring it a tie live, but being able to rewatch it it’s very clear that the fight wasn’t that close. Maidana won maybe 4 rounds. You cannot forget to score defense. If a fighter throws 30 punches and lands 10 vs the other fighter throwing 18 and landing 9, the 9 is most likely winning the round. More accurate, more elusive, and comparable in punches landed. The crowd tends to sway peoples opinions and make you think punches are landing.

as the floyds powerful clinch gives me anxiety as well round by round.

Yep Floyd's greatest weapon aside from his smarts, was his focus and composure. In Boxing Focus is super important, you can so easily just go auto pilot because your nervous.

If you you are a boxing 🥊 fan and know how professional boxing if, Maidana wasn't boxing. He was like making it a street fight. All to Mayweather, he exhibited a professional fight.

Anyway, I said Maidana's one of my favourites of all time, I didn't say he was the best boxer of all time. He let his hands go at any opportunity and was never knocked out, it was always a lot of fun watching him go after his opponent, most of whom were fighting simply to make it to the end of the bout.

3 rounds in the video and both men are amazing. Maidana has a great gameplan to pressure Floyd inside to kinda limit his counter power but Floyd's defense while taking shots is still immaculate.

He is very relaxed when he is fighting well conditioned for fighting and worked on being strong too. Maidana outweighed him coming into the fight 165 to 148! Effectively Mayweather was fighting a Super Middleweight. Then they say Mayweather isn't KOing anyone.....like really? Great fight! Maidsna came to fight and put out a great effort...just ran out of steam down the stretch due to Mayweather's underrated body punching and boy did he fight rough abd rugged! I ❤ it! 1 of Mayweather's more entertaining and interesting fights for casuals. I was laughing at all the illegal stuff Maidsna was doing in there to win. He ran out of gas and Floyd was beating him ip so he tackled Floyd! Hot to ❤ that!

Maidana luchó tan sucio que ni siquiera pudo ganar una pelea que ganó. Creo que quería chupar la peto de Floyd, por k seguía tocándola en cada ronda, y luego quería luchar con él en el suelo. Le habría dado mucho respeto a Chino, pero él no recibe ninguno de mí por k se centró más en pelear sucio que en boxeo. Floyd ganó 115-113. Fin de la historia.

I don't have much knowledge on boxing I just watch it for fun. I have one problem with what you said. It is very hard to hit Mayweather's head, so opponents hit his body a lot. So don't body punches count in boxing? Does it score less points or something?

Right composure is the right word. Most other boxers get annoyed.... frustrated.... they might just try to psyche themselves up like I can DO IT I'm better than this..... but Floyd maintains his composure and just figures out the answer.... he's very technical precise... his offensive fighting style is very text book and consistent... Anyway composure is the exact word for it.
