Ok I'm so stoked on the Sing song overview of this fork! I hope you enjoyed it too!
The Mezzer Pro is Manitou's premier enduro fork. While I couldn't ride the fork on any trails, thanks to mother nature and old man winter, I was able to hit a few features here and there and have so far really enjoyed the fork. The fork has a lot of cool features that make it a real contender in the performance fork market and I cannot wait to get it on the trails!
If you are interested in learning more about this fork, then consider subscribing to the channel so you can be notified when I put out future videos on the Mezzer Pro, including how to reduce travel, bracketing/set up of the fork, and a long term review.
Thank you for watching and really hope you enjoyed this video!

    TKolbo, I contacted Trek because I have a Remedy 8 myself. The rep told me that I can effectively set the fork up to run at 170mm of travel without voiding the warranty. I think you should try with the Manitou as it will give you more tank-ness on the downhill and in the rowdy.

  • @Tkolbo_

    @Tkolbo_

    3 жыл бұрын

    I honestly did debate doing that, however my bike is already overkill for my local trails, so I opted to stick to 160. The other reason I stuck to 160 is because the manitou has a 10mm difference in axle to crown height so it already raised to the height of a 170mm fox 36. So then if I went 170 it would be 20mm higher than stock, so I was worried that alter the geometry a bit too much. Its easy enough to change travel that I still might give it a shot anyways! Would make it rad for the rowdy stuff!

  • @AndrewGehn
    @AndrewGehn3 жыл бұрын

    I only bought my Pike Ultimate because it was silver too! Joking, but the fork is definitely the component that makes the bike and is worth every penny IMO. Any plans to try the fork at 170 mm, the maximum for the Remedy? Overkill for most riding around here, but at bike parks or out west it might be worth it.

  • @Tkolbo_

    @Tkolbo_

    3 жыл бұрын

    I was seriously considering it, but since the axle to crown is already 10mm taller than the stock fork I was worried about how much different the geo would be with the 170 + 10mm taller ATC. I may still try it, but i'm going to rock it at 160 for a bit longer first! The silver color is just so rad on both this fork and the Pike ultimate.

    The fork has remained really awesome! I unfortunately didn't get as much riding in this season as I wanted thanks to injujry and work and such, but it has been a great fork! No issues with the bushings thus far. on my current bike (Evil the Calling) I'm running it 150mm, if I were running it 180mm then the leverage would make me more worried, but I think Manitou has been working to solve the bushing issue they had on early models.

    Hey. I have also the same model of Trek Slash. Can you tell me what offset did you opted for?. The trek slash 2017/2020, comes with 51mm offset fork. I want to change the fork with something new, but keep the same offset. The rockshox zeb only comes with 44mm, the fox 36/38 the have option of 51mm but...yes fox its expensive, and i saw that mezzer comes with 44 and 51mm. Also if you have the 51mm mezzer that gives you more clearance for the down tube? And how does it feel over all? is the clearance back in your mind all the time? or you forgot about it.

The LE sterling silver silver one may be hard to come by, but I'd hit up your local shop to see if they can snag one! The mattoc is a great fork, this is just a nice beefed up version. I'll tell you I'm impressed with the mezzer so far, just based off how it feels in the hand and how easy it is to work on, plus the little bit of riding I have done. I haven't been able to get it on the trails yet sadly, it just snowed more. I can't wait to get it on dirt and rocks. @@Tkolbo_ After watching this i took pictures of my current 36 and put it out for sale to see if there is any interest hehe. There is a German shop that has 10+ in stock. They have both versions. Silver with the 44mm offsett. And 51mm or 44mm in black. The black one looks really good also. About 150euro price difference though. Decisions decisions. And then there is the service bit. I would have to get all parts outside of Norway. I am used to fixing forks. Done it since the 90's. But my mattoc has lasted 3 years. No play. No seal leaks or anything. And we have prob the worst conditions a fork can get here weatherwise. And rocks and roots. Really do want to sell my fox36. Not super happy with fox. I really disliked my fox 40. I even mounted my old modded 888evo ti v2 with ti nitrate stanchions and it was waaay better. Manitou is underrated as hell. The dorado is also a superb fork.
