Teri: you breezed thru this ironing procedure! The delight on your face shows how much time and effort your MOTHER spent on raising and coaching you. What a legacy. Its not the ironing, but the love on your face. I can see you remembering the time you spent with your mother and now your family. Just to let you know, Miele does make a new one to the tune of 2,000. guess there won't be too many little girls ironing hankies and towels on that one!

Adorable presentation. I completely agree with you about how useful these are. I love to have all my bedding --sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers - ironed and these are ideal for that along with those of us who want to return to paperless kitchens--using cloths. Miele does make a Mangle now but it is 2-4K.

Im a tailor and would love to have one of those. No one irons anymore. Everyone goes to the dry cleaners, but i do a lot of ironing. They had such cool appliances in the 40s.

My husband is refurbishing a Kenmore Mangle...I can hardly wait to use it! My Mom had one when I was a kid....and I have looked for one for 40 years!! Bring on the wrinkled sheets...etc!! Donna S

I purchased an ironrite for my wife last month. I knew nothing about it. With a video or 2 I had it up and running. I have a lot to learn. Unfortunately it did not come with any type of manual for servicing or replacing things. But I'm sure I can find videos on that as well. My wifes grandmother used one and my wife has always wanted one of her own. So now she has one.

Absolutely loved this! My grandmother used to iron everything on her mangle from dishtowels to shirts to underwear, but I was never interested enough when she was still alive to learn how. I purchased an ironrite a couple of years ago but need help on the technique. It's definitely a learned skill. Could you do another video with your Mom teaching how to use it? Perhaps pretending we were five years old and start with hankies.

Leah: there is a re-print of the original instruction book on ebay. it really took the mystery out of the process for me. Not too expensive if yours didnt come with the original one.

@ fritzy1819. That would be great. I havent gone to her house lately but if i get the chance, i will do a followup video. She was a pro at the machine having only used it to iron since she was 4. Anyone out there have help for Fritzy1819?
