Making video games can be really tough. But thanks to cool game engines like Scratch, it's incredibly simple. It uses a high-level, visual scripting language to help teach kids and adults how to program. And honestly, it's perfect for people who are asking the question "How to learn how to program?" or "How to make video games". And after my last programming video using C++, let's see just how easy Scratch MIT is to use.

i love you videos so much! Scratch was how I got into game dev so seeing you using it made my day
That was a fun, cozy quiz game you created. I'm a game designer student and this inspires me. I too like playing quiz minigames, like from Paper Mario and other games that did it so well.
Your art style is perfect for these games!
Honestly that looks like a solid mini game great job and you should be proud!

Hey, if you're going to be making games in scratch, you should probably get the scratch addons browser extension, as it makes programming in scratch much better. Plus, it adds a dark mode.

you know a fair amount of apples are green, right ? even the red ones start green.
You are really my favourite game dev, I really try to be early for each video, I think you have seen me once, I love your content, it's litteral GOLD
My brain is on high alert for Dewdrop Dynasty release news lol, I just heard "With the release of my first commercial game, Dewdrop Dynasty" and my eyes immediately widened, then I heard "Happening in a few months" and realized my brain got excited too early in the sentence lol
Scratch is really helpful as a programmer who is learning. I find that if I make something in scratch that seemed insurmountable to code in something like C#, it almost makes it clearer how I could have coded it. Can't praise Scratch enough for budding programmers.

I'll be honest, I've had the exact opposite experience. I'm studying to be a web programmer, and I've tried out scratch a few times, and I've never really managed to understand wtf I'm doing. Maybe I'm just bad or I'm too used to doing things a different way, but, like haskell, it's just one of those languages I'll probably never be able to get into
The meaning of life is green. You're welcome. great video, love that you're using scratch :D

Hey man! Love your videos! Do you have tips for export of the SVGs? I am having troubles.. they get imported way too big and when I try to scale them, they scale incorrectly. For example the outline of the curves stays the same and is then way too big! 🙈

Maybe, as a game suggestion for scratch, try some adventure or rpg game where you explore a world? Not exactly like animal crossing, just more of the exploring like animal crossing!
