It's a straight puncher, actually you can use "lacing chisel in 1 prong". It also can use too.

What tool are you using to make the holes? You mention 4mm pricking iron for spacing but what is the size of the hole you are making with the single headed punch. (I tried my smallest hole punch & it was still too big, so I am using an awl and this has made the sewing quite tedious). Thanks for any help & keep up the great videos.

I just use typical diamond Chinese pricking iron. (If Japanese brand will be too wide)

craftsmangus Thank you. That explains my issue as I use Kyoshin Elle pricking irons (from Japan)!

Can this be made on a cylinder arm machine especially the front pocket attached to the bag itself?

It's possible in some conditions. The footer should be narrow enough, for mine I use modified walking footer (cut to make the needle stay 3 mm. from the edge). And in this case I will stitch the pocket gusset to the main front panel first to make it easy to hold, then stitch the pocket gusset to the front pocket panel.

What size of the bag you made in the video? Also where did you get the leather fabric?

The finished size: 20.5 x 14 x 7 cm. I got leather from local supplier in "Charoenrat Road" leather street of Thailand.

Are the numbers of stitch holes on the gusset the same as the front and back pieces? Due to the curves...

Can I use one thickness for all the parts? Ex. 2mm vegtan leather

Yes of course. You can use 2mm. thickness veg-tanned leather.

I use 1.8/2.0 mm. Also can use 2.5/3.0 just need to skive the edge to make the stitch in curve gusset easier.
