I think naming the bag was a good move, more memorable and more differentiation. Most makers, myself included, are giving standard names to items, so The Jessica bag stands out, and whoever Jessica is I hope she loves the bag!
As always very detailed. I didn't know that style bag could be done that way. Very great work and that marker is genious!
Just gorgeous! Wow, you have a serious talent

Hi, I was wanting to ask you about the printing of this pattern on USA printers, would I use the A4 print selection for the pattern to come out the correct size or another print selection? The patterns I usually buy has like a 1" or 2" box that you can measure to make sure the pattern will print out the correct size so thought I had better ask before cutting my leather. Thanks for your help and thank you for this pattern, love this bag. Tammy

Hi Tammy. A4 international standard and US letter size are a bit different in size. We do set printing area to fit in both standard. And you need to print from Adobe PDF in Desktop and set to 100% print. We have guide for tiling the paper, glue and paste on large cardboard paper. If have any problems please let me know. Normally I can prepare US Letter size to you too. But due to my wife fly to VA for about 3-4 days so If have issue, please let me know. I can manage to you after she back to Bangkok. Sincerely GUS
Hi! This bag is wonderful, its just perfect! what did you use for thr stiffener? is it leather aswell? thanks!
@craftsmangus

I use TEXON as stiffener. (IT's synthetic feel and touch like bristol drawing paper just thinner.
Beautiful! Please,what kind of lining do you use? And the glue? Thanks for sharing!
@craftsmangus
5 жыл бұрын
It's suede fabric (or microfiber lining). Glue I use contact adhesive local brand "Bondtech" in Thailand.
Hello, love your work, do you think it's possible to use eco leather 2mm thick for this project? Stiffened with wigofil 150 (type of interlining), would you also tell me if I can use the same needles, threads and glue for eco leather as for genuine leather? It's my first project, I don't want to risk real leather until I get some experience. Thank you
@craftsmangus
5 жыл бұрын
I use to work with eco leather in 2.0 mm. also with wigofil (Locally called it spun bond fabric here ). I think the bag will be a bit softer (or collapse able bag) but it do possible to work with.
КЛАСС))❤❤❤❤❤❤УДАЧИ в Вашем не женском ремесле
The part I'm confsed with is how the liner is attached. Once the bottom goes on and is sown on, the next step shown is the installation of the bottom liner, but no indication of how the walls of the liner are attached. I'm just assuming they're glued in place, and the bottom liner/stiffener just covers over it?
Thanks for sharing this video. I have a question for the color marker. is the product only for leather? I never think using color marker before.
@craftsmangus

Its regular marker from art/stationary store.
as always, the bag is perfect, it captures the spirit. Bravo! What is this marker? ordinary or special?
@craftsmangus

Thank You. That's normal marker. Nothing special. Also can use alcohol dye :)
Hi, I bought your pattern and would like to know on what do you stick it so that to have hard templates which is certainly easier for cutting the leather. Thank you
@craftsmangus

I use 3M (77 or 75) spray glue or glue stick is ok, on the cardboard paper.
do you think it will be possible to sew the bag with the leather machine?
Wow. So much work. Love it. What material is the lining?
@craftsmangus
5 жыл бұрын
Thank You. For lining we use fabric similar to Alcanthara/Microfiber textile from local shop in Thailand.
What type and length of zipper did you use? The bag is well constructed and lovely!
@craftsmangus

I use local brand 2 ways zipper (about eq to YKK brand) in 55 cm/21" + 3/4". Thank You that you like :)
Love this purse! I am thinking of making it with faux leather. Is that advisable?
@craftsmangus
4 жыл бұрын
Yes you can make with faux leather. If the material you use is too loose you can use stiffener to help make shape. And you can use edge paint for the faux leather too.
Wow! That bag looks so elegant!😍 How long did it take you to finish that bag?😊 Do you ship your product overseas?🙂

Keep those good videos coming.😁 I've been watching all your work and it makes me love your channel more.😊 Kudos to both of you! Greetings from d Philippines.😊
Is there a way to modify this to a shorter zipper and a shoulder strap rather than the two side handles? I love this design the only thing is maybe adding an outside pocket as well as the other changes.
@craftsmangus
3 жыл бұрын
For shorter zipper you can make adjustment but the position zipper end is the place of opening may cause harder to access the bag. You also can add the d-ring position along the top part or between the zipper and leather but may need to consider some non smooth zipper operation, d-ring over the leather is better for use but for the design its depends. For the pocket outside, you can change depend on your preference.

Hello, one question is that I do not understand how to seal the edges. Thank you
@craftsmangus
5 жыл бұрын
In this project I use veg tanned leather so I use burnishing method. First I did sand paper on the leather for more smooth edge. Then I use water and plain fabric to burnish the edge. And after that I use Tokonole (Seiwa brand from Japan) with fabric to burnish. And use cocobolo wood slicker to smoother burnish. Then use canuba wax on its.
what name a pen for corner the bag?
What did you use to dye the veg tan leather? Thanks in advance.
@craftsmangus
5 жыл бұрын
For this project I use the already tanned from tannery. But if you mean to dye typically veg. My fav is use folded cotton cloth in many layers rather than wool. Dye prep and spirit dye or oil dye from fiebing.

Everyone- think about the poor kids in China and India wading around in the chemical tanks to make this nice shade or red. It's an environmental nightmare.
Environmentally irresponsible, as well as cruel to animals. Shame! If you carry this sort of bag, you should just think about the cattle being face branded for your vanity.

Leather (cow hides) is a byproduct of the food industry. Would you prefer the hides be destroyed after the meat is harvested? Now that would be wasting and environmentally unfriendly. You must admit the red bag is beautiful, right?

@@rgetso Nice try- No, I would prefer that the cattle are not bred to produce massive amounts of methane gas every time they burp. There are other things that people can more responsibly eat than beef because beef production is an environmental nightmare from the methane to the feedlot to the crap running off into the rivers.
